So Gamexplain did a comparison of the 3 Retro Tracks shown in Mario Kart 8, and holy crap I can't even recognize Dry Dry Desert.

Looks like adaptive tesselation and original uncompressed textures for the music track and sewer track.... And of course the biggest difference is simply being done on wii u with the new rendering pipeline.

As for Dry dry desert... Im not so sure that actually IS dry dry desert.

After playing Double Dash for a bit, I can confirm that is indeed Dry Dry Desert: it's just that the sand looks so much better, so it's hard to recognize it.
