Miyamoto said he would like to dabble in a FPS, Then said it wouldnt be anything like carbon copies on the market, he said something about tons of weapons all having different effects and how they interacted with each player and weapon would be different

Well he did say that he liked FPSs, which is why Link's Crossbow Training exists.
