Agreed, I think a lot of people who place themselves in a minority group like that end up losing all perspective. They start thinking that they are the only ones who ever get any kind of poor treatment, then start assuming every word coming out of everyone's mouth is directed at them, and meant as an insult.

So if EA is ditching Nintendo, why do they put so much effort in the Wii U version of NFS?

Criterion Games are the developers for that game, EA are just the publishers.

Yes. That means EA chooses where the games end up.

Doesn't mean they decide how much effort Criterion Games is willing to put into it, which was the point I was making.

People seem to forget the biggest and most obvious scam EA has been doing. Tell me, why do they release the same sports game every single year? What is the difference between FIFA 12 and 13? There we go, they're stealing those poor fans...

Oh thanks, didn't think about that. But still, doesn't EA give them the money to fund the development?

Everybody hates on EA just because its cool to hate on EA.... You all cant fool me....EA has become the Nickelback of gaming,
Everybody knows you guys all buy their games and then run and hide in your basement closets with your little TV and secretly indulge in your stash of EA games that you keep hidden under your bed like its your porn stash...all while you are typing mean, hurtfulcomments about the greatest gaming developer/publisher the world has ever known....
LONG LIVE EA! and Nickelback

They do probably give a lot of the funding but again, its up to Criterion Games to decide how to use those funds and CG will fund a big part of the project themselves. (I'm not in the developing world myself, this is just how I understand it works.)
EA is just in charge of marketting and such and they will set a deadline for CG.

Because people keep buying them year after year.

They made their work very public. It isn't weird to anyone Criterion thought it would be a good idea to do interviews with basically EVERY major video game site about a port?

If EA doesnt release Madden on Wii U that would leave the door wide open for 2K Sports to release a NFL football game on the Wii U. There will always be a market for football games on Nintendo consoles, but I personally dont feel that Nintendo gamers are convinced that Madden is the only way to go. Criterion is a big boy developer with a respectable following, and I think thats why they had some pull with Need For Speed for Wii U. Thats not true with many of EA's developers, many of them are not as "big" as teh game they are developing. It doesnt matter which development house makes the next Madden, its going to sell, and most gamers could care less who handled the work. Thats not really true with Criterion. I think Criterion has a following that entices gamers to buy their racing games regardless of the IP. Need for Speed or Burnout, it didnt really matter, the game was a Criterion made game, and that holds weight with a respectable amount of gamers. I dont care for EA, but I do want some of their games for Wii U, so hopefully they get over it.
