Things are not that bright for the big N these days. It certainly needs some first party love. And the sooner the better.

I'm still giving it time. Nintendo isn't going anywhere soon.

I have a feeling there's going to be a release of lots of Nintendo 1st party titles all at once....
But in all seriousness Nintendo's sales have actually risen by 40%

Well, I have to admit that sales aren't THAT bad per se. However, being outnumbered by nearly 200 thousands units by its competitors is worrying.

Considering most console launches are terrible, nothing has been proven yet. Besides, the 18th and 19th will see a bunch of games released. I know a lot of the Monster hunter fanbase has been waiting for the new game to buy a wii u, so sales from that alone will be up a bit, not even counting the other releases.

Expected, seeing as there have been no new games since January. Games that aren't movie ports or shovelware.

you people are comparing a brand new console that has 20+ games in its current library and little to no advertisement, to 2 other consoles that have been around for 6 years that have a library 50 times that of Wiiu... .............. you see what im getting at here -.-'

It will pick up soon, there are some awesome games already announced for it, alot of people I know are waiting for Pikmin 3 to release before they get one, I'm sure sales will spike when that game comes out, just look at 3DS sales when Animal Crossing New Leaf came out in Japan, it was the best selling game for weeks, and from what I understand many people have been waiting for a new Pikmin game for years.

Again with this? This is getting tiring. It's just the same cycle over again. Console launches, sells decently at launch, console starts dropping in sales because of a drought of games, doom and gloom, games come out, price drops, bundles, console sells, repeat when a new console is released.

That was really funny!
On topic:
Sales for Wii U rose 40%ish. Could it be because of Nintendo Direct in late January? Why should a console rise that much in sales when there are no games that same month and only in the second half of March?
Maybe the market really reacted to the news.

sales risen since january, that part is good, but sales were poor in the drought months. doesnt really matter how sales compare to to 360/PS3. it does matter how they compare to 720/PS4 at release, or the 360/PS3 launch sales. i do expect a spike to 6 digit sales # starting around and after march do to more games, another slight drop, then another bump for more games.
i do expect PS4/720 to hold release momentum a bit longer, but mutly plats on all 3 next gens to sell better on wiiU, (10-20 mil wiiU's vs 1-4 mil next gen for each)

We need another Nintendo Direct in April to coincide with the major Spring update. This way Nintendo can maybe give us some release dates and trailers for Pikmin 3, Mario 3D, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2 and maybe even an update for Wind Waker. This way you get rid of a lot of clutter so they can concentrate on more interesting and exciting games such as retro's game, Zelda, and maybe some other surprises at E3
Not that I think Wind Waker, Wonderful 101 or SSB are clutter....
