Nintendo 3DS LL – 47,985 (39,801)
PlayStation Vita – 36,028 (63,581)
Nintendo 3DS – 21,454 (21,207)
PlayStation 3 – 20,676 (19,567)
PSP – 12,721 (18,023)
Wii U – 9,539 (9,454)
Wii – 1,323 (1,363)
Xbox 360 – 543 (738)
With that said, the Vita is still selling quite well, but I can't see this momentum staying for too long...

:'( Sweet Prince.
It's got about 2 months of popular releases to burn through in Japan though, I'm sure it'll gain a bit of momentum coming up to June.

Eh, only 10,000 units. I'm sure it'll stay in the top three for another few weeks.
Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

Sony should either start looking for developers to make something for the thing to start moving units, or just drop it all together and focus on their console instead of this.

Also, I love how the freaking Wii still sold double than the Xbox 360. That thing can't catch a break.

Wii U not only has no games since january, i believe, but it also launched with very little japanese appeal, in terms of games. I`m actually surprised it did better there than in Europe.

Europe is'int nintendo's best market .. But that's true since most of the games are western and whatever,I still know the Wii u sales will boost tremendously over the summer and once the real games come out!

Here´s hoping!
My concern is not on 1st party japanese games on Wii U, but 3rd party japanese games. I do hope that 3rd parties are backing up Wii U, because western 3rd party games won`t be enough for the japanese gamers.
MH 3 is doing well for a port. If DQ X does well, aswell, developers might be more confident.

If you combine 3DS and 3DS LL together its a lot more then 10,000 units.
Japanese system sales spike whenever a game that the Japanese market likes (anything that is similar to Monster Hunter). Expect another spike for the 3DS when Monster Hunter 4 comes out.

The Xbox 360 has never sold well in Japan.

Exactly: The freaking Wii, which only has a version of Dragon Quest X that is soon going to be outdated, sold better than the xbox which is still going strong for that week. Microsoft needs to step their Japanese game up.
