Overrated game characters? Well i would say Persona 4 cast but it has very little fanbase compared to other overpopular things like....Naruto... Id go with Dante & Vergil. Ever since Devil May Cry 3 everybody wants to be them, guys and girls.

I could name a few. But, Desmond from Assassins Creed is lame. I really liked Ezio. I hope for a spin-off game with Ezio as main character.

Honestly, Mario, he has no personality, no background or story, nothing. Yet, the games sell like cold lemonade on a hot summer day.

I think to be overrated a lot of people have to like the character first.

Anyway, my most overrated character is Gordan Freeman. He is no different than a random soldier you be in most shooters. He is essentially a grunt. Anybody could have been in his spot and it wouldn't matter.

Oh, I don't know, keeps single handedly saving the galaxy? I personally say mario. He keeps saving a girl who obviously wants to be captured. And has the vocabulary of a 2 year old. Strange though, scooby doo doesn't do much more and he could never be overrated

 never kratos is my favourite one dimensional character something refreshing about somebody driven purely by rage and wanting nothing more than destroy everything that caused it quite awesome if you play ascension it explains some of why he is the way he is.
