E3 2010 for Nintendo was pretty good, but otherwise they have just been filled with small moments of excitement, like 2006 with Solid Snake being in Brawl (and Brawl's reveal).Too bad this won't ease the crybabies. For me, as long as they show the games (which I know they will), I don't care. Those big conferences spend the majority of the time talking about statistics. Let's face it, there hasn't been an amazing E3 since the gamecube/ps2/xbox era.

You're right. E3 2010 was pretty good. I had totally forgotten about it. But lately it seems that E3 has been losing its relevance and announcements are made through other ways. I prefer it to be that way, since holding an event one time a year to reveal information doesn't seem the best way to do it anymore. People tend to become impatient, leaks and rumors start happening. It's just becoming a mess, IMO.

So where is that long ass list jpg of all of the 'final nails' in Nintendo's coffin throughout the years? We have a new entry to add.

I'm not worrying one single bit. Nintendo will deliver the games at both E3 and Nintendo Direct.

I agree: if they are going to have a big conference, one per year won't cut it anymore. I say E3 for summer, an event in August for holiday season games, and one near February for spring releases. However, I do prefer Nintendo Directs over conferences, because they can forget about the statistic PR bull$#!t and get on with software.

Can someone fully clarify this to me, we're getting the traditional E3 press conference and they are going to do some sort of business conference in the morning. Or are they making all their announcements via Nintendo Direct internationally? See, if they do it by Nintendo Direct, its kind of pointless because people who aren't even fans of Nintendo will watch their E3 press conference, but Nintendo Directs are more geared for the core Nintendo fans.
So the part that is disappointed if it is by Nintendo Direct to me is that I prefer getting all hyped up for an E3 press conference, yes. Nintendo directs are nice but there is nothing better then getting so hyped for an E3 press conference and sitting down and watching it and seeing the huge stage and the roar of the crowds.
I think Nintendo is planning to do game announcements prior to E3, with game demoes for the media to play.

Please announce some amazingly fantastic games at E3 please Nintendo, I still can't belive you screwed your one year head start on Microsoft and Sony up, they practicaly had their butt cheeks spread for you, but you zipped up your pants and walked away, all your good games for Wii U are coming out towards the end of this year, that's when the new consoles come out! Please don't dissapoint Ninty, please.

If anything, "Nintendo not holding a huge E3 conference" only indicates that Nintendo Directs will occur more often, which is an amazing thing.
