Majora's Mask is just amazing. My favorite Zelda game of all time, and my favorite game of all time.

I agree, but I also think that they are all amazing in their own ways, though none of the mobile ones lived up to Link's Awakening for me.  That one is my favorite mobile game of all time.

The Mario 3D games up to SMG2 were unique, yes, but when you have the NSMB series as a perfect example of this sort of business model, then you kind of have to roll with it lol. :P

:/ then I def don't agree. NSMB has had like, three or four games, across DS, Wii, 3DS and Wii U. And I think some of those are repeats, like DS and Wii was the same game.

But anyway I'm not a Mario fan, I hated Mario 64 and Sunshine was just weird. Galaxy was okay.

Did you just hear what you said. 20 games... THATS A LOT

oh and i guess i'm 12, i usually buy the newest COD to play with my "bros"

At least there all different, You won't find anyone that says Super mario bros is the same as Super mario bros 2 or 3, you won't find anyone that says Super mario 64 is the same as Super mario Sunshine.

lhKtSmX.png?2 Well, I've finally found my Starfox, and I love it.

That... Isn't a lot over a 25 year period.  Also, you are counting mobile versions as well here, so if you do the same for COD, Ghosts will be the 22nd COD game (not counting BLOPS2 twice for vita).

COD was first released in 2003, so 22 games in 10 years vs 20 games over 26 years.

Oh, but CoD is made by a huge publisher, of course they are going to do that.

(lol jk.)

I seriously hope your not 12. CoD is a RATED M game. Why would you say such a silly thing?

To each his own, its my favorite 3D Zelda to date.  Majora's Mask comes close.

Everything, except for the items that were of little use beyond the dungeon that you got it for.  I loved the story, and Midna is one of my favorite characters.  I was reminded of the dark world light world mechanic from ALTTP, and liked using that to solve puzzles.

Cool, in a way the items in zelda games usually do become useless after a dungeon...

I thought the game tried too hard to be dark.

The comment section is just sad.

That's GameSpot... You simply cannot imagine how stupid the average user there is. I mean it's not even trolling, it's sad, as you said. I used to be on their forums when it was still tied to GameFaqs. I ragequitted after, I think, one year of bearing lame wannabe trolls... So yea, they're lame, really lame. The comment section shows it.

Iwata, he is correct, I agree with ReviewTechUSA he did a vid on this article, and I like how Iwata admited that Nintendo are just as bad at this, I like how he's not just blaming other companies and saying Nintendo is amazing and all, that's cool beans dude.

There were no repeats, while the games share a similar art style, they are all completely unique. As different as smb1, smb3, smw etc. were from each other.

The only people who try to argue the nsmb=same stuff angle are individuals who havent played them. Im not a huge mario fan either, the wife is, which is why I own them. Though the galaxies were amazing imo.

I dont think I need to comment on the topic of the post, as Im sure everyone has seen my rants on the homegenization of the industry for the past.... years. If anyone hasnt, in short, Im the person Nintendo is talking about, and Ive been peeved about this crappy situation for a very long time.

I'm not sure what it is, but when I played NSMB, NSMB2, NSMBU, they all felt different.  I didn't find myself thinking, "man, this is the same damn game".

However with Gears of War I though "Man, this is exactly the same game as last time, or I'm having deja vu"

Same with COD.  I just get tired of those types of games much faster I suppose.  I'm not the hugest Mario fan, but I enjoy the hell out of the games, as does my wife, who is the farthest from a gamer you can get.
