This is about a conversation of Call of Duty on WiiU.
The game hasn't specifically been confirmed for PS4 or Wii U. Asked whether it'll release on Nintendo's console, an Activision spokesperson told Examiner: "We don't have any news for the Wii U at this time, as we aren't dating next generation platforms yet. Stay tuned."

Similar story here too:
"It’s possible that Activision has a deal with Microsoft to not discuss the game on any next-gen console except for the new Xbox. As part of that deal, the companies might consider the Wii U a “next-gen system.”

It's not next gen, it's current gen, as I currently own it.
This. PS4, NextBox, and WiiU are current(or will be when they're out). PS3, 360, and Wii are last gen. Eh, it's good to see Activision recognizing WiiU.

Any Call of duty game that gets advertised for the Wiiu should help get the so called core gamers to understand that this Nintendo console is not a Wii with a gamepad.
Black ops 2 didn't push sales for the console because at the time the old 360 was less than half the price and joe bloggs didn't see the Wiiu offering anything better. This time round if the install base grows things might be better.

Right, because the eighth gen is already started, but won't necessarily be considered "current" gen until all of the competitors are out.

Yup, everybody in the industry names the PS4 and Nextbox nextgen. Many Nintendo fanboy hate the fact that some publishers and gamers don't see the WiiU as nextgen and only do ports or not support at all. Now some big firm calls the WiiU nextgen...and now we start discussing if our WiiU is really next gen. Sometimes I don't get fanboys....

IKRYup, everybody in the industry names the PS4 and Nextbox nextgen. Many Nintendo fanboy hate the fact that some publishers and gamers don't see the WiiU as nextgen and only do ports or not support at all. Now some big firm calls the WiiU nextgen...and now we start discussing if our WiiU is really next gen. Sometimes I don't get fanboys....

Sad part is Sony / Microsoft fans don't debate whether or not the ps4 / 720 is next gen. Not one person doubts they are. Seriously, stop worrying about silly terms that mean nothing. It makes Nintendo fans like we're overcompensating.

I actually consider myself a bit of a sony fanboy but i actually don't hate on any of the systems, and i have never said the wii u is last gen, i think it's a pretty powerful console.
