this is gonna be fun to watch. i love coming here then going to GAF to totally different opinions. Gaf is saying the engine is very CPU heavy and thus Wii U and its "horribly slow" CPU cant run the engine... or maybe the engine needs a complete re write to run on Wii U which EA isnt going to do.

LOL He will never respond to that. EA & D.I.C.E. are flip-flopping. First is to keep from "stretching too thin." Now it's because they say Frostbite 2 wasn't promising on Wii U.

They couldn't make it any more obvious.

Im sure the WiiU would have run the FB2 just fine, im sure there would have been problems but not anything that would probably mean that it wouldn't run at all.

I know they said "the results weren't promising" rather than it simply saying that "The platform was not capable" but from the amount of carp we have heard coming from EA, not just towards WiiU but in everything in general, i call BS.

DICE really should disjoin themselves from EA after all thats happened, im sure just about any of company would do a better job at looking after them than EA.

I hate to read kinda stuff, it makes me think the Wii-U is rubbish. Everyone even my friends are constantly bashing me, telling me it's a crappy console blah blah blah.

 

This will only give them more ammunition to bash Nintendo and the Wii-U. I feel like the outcast

Then just tell them that if they think something is childish, it is because they are childish.

Think about it, only kids complain about something being too childish. Something is only childish if it was made intentionally for children.

Essentially, one who complains something is too childish is pretty much saying:

'Waah, it's too colourful, I don't like it'.

I can see how early tests would give those impressions. Hell criterion said final kits didnt arrive until just before launch, and they had no tools, making performance crap.

I have no doubt that running early tests on non final devkits with no system specific toolchains would give poor results.

Nintendo really dropped the ball with this launch. Now they have to turn it around themselves. And from what theyve been saying, I expect to finally start seeing them try soon.
