This is a rather far-fetched idea, but I think there should be a section dedicated to venting about things in regards to the console wars, a game you are stuck on or a popular game you don't actually like, life issues, or anything else. I think that the normal forum rules should apply of course and that sensible posts be encouraged rather than swearing. I want to create a thread venting about a couple of very popular games I've been playing that I'm just not enjoying. But I figure that people would click on the regular sections not being ready for a rant on popular games and might mistake it as trolling. Just an idea.

POPULAR

I think we already have a section for ranting. It's called a "status update."

I ranted about how I hated MH3U Demo and nothing happened (well besides people replying back of-course) as long as you make a valid argument and it makes sense, then its obvious your serious.

If you want to rant about a game, go to the "General Gaming" Section. There isn't a rule that says you're not allowed to hate a game. Unless you say something like "OOH Mario sucks you walk around and jump and stuff its nothing like COD where you SHOt People in da face!!! COD RUELS" then ya people will think you're trolling.

I've been on a few forums that had help with life sections, and most of the time the sections had to be shut down.  They weren't shut down because of too much trolling, but because the problems weren't being solved and the people stopped trying to find if there were issues with themselves...

There's a couple forums that use two sections, one for saying something great that happened to you, and for saying something sucky that happened, while I think that's pretty cool and I'd like them on here, I couldn't see them, or anything like that working in this forum, just seems... no.

what?

The sections degenerated into sections where the people with issues believed themselves to be prefect and could do no wrong, and the other users fed into the delusions.

The forum degenerated into a place where Mitch, having many issues, believed himself to be prefect and could do no wrong, and the other users fed into his delusions.

Sounds about right

A section like that would only create more drama for the forum.

But this forum needs more drama.... Now that Mourn has GC helping him, we need to make twice as much trouble to give them enough work :P

DKCR Wii is somewhat tough with kids screaming in the background. It is like Retro tried to make a follow up to the original game without conceding to current easing standards. Darn them.

As if whining and moaning wasn't already a big of a problem here already.
