The Xbox One’s disappointing reveal has shot up sales of the Wii U on Amazon.com. The system was at #390 before the conference, but now has shot up to #40 due to Microsoft’s glorified TV box.

This momentum should carry Nintendo right into the summer as they have big plans for the Wii U at E3 and this fall. The console race has just begun but it’s good to see gamers are picking up a system that’s dedicated to gaming first, and multimedia second.

This is pretty amazing news for Nintendo, though I doubt it will last longer than a week or two from now, as the Xbox One discussion will have died down a bit. After E3 it'll slowly begin to pick up and lead this holiday, though I also think the PS4 is gonna do pretty good this holiday as well...but Wii U will win. There's my long ramble lol

I don't really get how it's because of Microsoft though. Yeah, the presentation wasn't very good, but I doubt the people watching were like "Oh wow that sucked, I guess I'll go buy a Wii U!"

 

I'm not saying it's just a coincidence, but come on.

Well, it's not like there was a big title released recently. Maybe after the Xbox Reveal and how bad of a games machine it was people realized that the Wii U isn't actually a bad option now. It isn't solely because of the reveal, but it played a factor.

I agree. The console itself won't be bad, but just like with the Wii U, the reveal was unorganized, and didn't give the fans all the information they wanted, so they're rioting. Just wait til E3, see what Microsoft pulls out there

That reveal made me feel even better about my WiiU purchase. I'm almost relieved, I can just focus on Nintendo. I don't want all that media crap, I just want a system to play games. This is coming from me with like 200 360 games played and 75000 gamerscore.
Seriously, ms lost me with that. I don't see what they can do at E3 to change minds. I'm sick of all their exclusives anyway, and not much of an online gamer. Okay I'm done ranting lol.
Go Nintendo, I hope they announce some good games.
