SONY still haven't answered if they will follow the partially online for PS4, like x1. They dodge the questions. That means, there is a huge possibility, to buy a ps4 and end up with a "steambox" .  I would suggest you to buy a wii U and buy a ps4 6 months after the original release date. At that time, you will know, what u dealing with and also avoid problematic versions of the hardware (like the red ring of death or yellow, whatever).

or buy a ps4 from day 1, if you dont care about drm's and forcing u connect.

Have fun with error 37.

All launches are like this I don't know why you buy launch consoles if you don't know how
launches are.

If you think the PS4 launch is going to be any different you're in for a rude awakening. Its going to be drought city meanwhile the Wii U is going to be off to a running start. With Mario, Smash Bros, Zelda, Mario Kart the list is going to go on.

Then you say you're going to keep your Vita... the VITA, which is in second year drought.
Why aren't you rainbowting on the Vita? Why do you have more faith in that Vita than
you do with Wii U? the Wii U's guaranteed to get games, the Vita? not so much

I smell a Pretendo

Insults aside I agree.

Why can't you have both?

Have one will mean you'll just be missing out on exclusives, it's only logical that you have both for you can have your needs satisfied.

I'll look for the source, but I could have sworn Sony did say that they never considered any type of always online because some parts of the world can't go online regularly.

Microsoft is obviously living in their own world when it comes to this. My friend who is currently living in an Internet-less region of West Virginia was pretty upset with the news of One's phone-home system.

They said " robust connections.."  And I said " partially"  that means, once per day, once per week, whatever that may be. They do force u connect. If they do.

http://www.gamespot....-report-6408071

they declined the "always" not the "partially" and they dont speak about it. X1 is going to be partially as well (once per 24 hours), just ur console to give them full report what u ve done, watched and played, as a minimum request. I dont see the sony president care about people WHO DONT HAVE internet connection, he cares about those who do have internet, but its not that good.. lol

so ps4 is going to be like x1...  Thats my bet. They dont speak till it get released, but lets hope journalists will take the truth out of them at E3.

Spoiler

ME:
Well not everyone can get online every 24 hours. These DRM loving companies are shooting themselves in the foot. I suggest get a Wii U.

It's annoying and worrying that Sony won't clarify the used game situation. It's possible Sony's approach will be different though, pushing online software purchases ahead of physical games for example so you have to wait to buy a physical copy. I don't think Sony will go down the Microsoft route but there may be some sort of middle ground which is still restrictive.

I may cave in and buy a ps4 day one but unless there are titles I must have I may wait. I think though there are likely to be a couple of must have titles for me so its possibly a day one purchase.

Both.
Wii u is cool. Waiting on pikmin 3 but current games. Are cool.
Will probably get a ps4 a little after launch, depending on the games.

I'd say both since thats ideal but if I had to choose I'd go with PS4, hands down. I mean looking at the current consoles and I think to myself those lasted nearly 8 years and now I picture the Wiiu and PS4 in 10 years and I can't help but feel like Sony really has it in the bag.

Again Wiiu will have games, probably a bunch of exclusives hence my purchase of the system. So yeah I like the Wiiu and I'm interested in the PS4 as well as the Xbox1 so in the end I'm just a gamer.

ok my personal experience with both lets start with the wii u
when the wii u was announced i was excited i genuinly was same with the wii u but as i was thinkin to myself the other day the excitment is different . im excited for what the wii u " may possibly do in the future" nothing i actually seen seemed exciting is was everything that they COULD DO. imagine if they do this and make this game etc. but with the ps4 and even xbox one im excited for what i see! its all there im physically looking at it not just thinking or imagining what they MIGHT DO. does that make sense. everything ive hiped and wante to see over the past year has not come true for the wii u. but day 1 reveal of xbox. and ps4 i was excited for what i could physically see happy with what there doing and there visions for the systems .

well not with xbox one there exclusives and games look amazing but the whole online and drm thing not cool
