Awesome news, looks as if DRM is up to third party developers and you should still be able to sell first party SONY games and buy them used, not always online is also a really cool bonus, looks like the PS4 is offering more than Xbox One at the moment, what are your thoughts people?

I will get a PS4 then. I just won't support the devs that require it like the one that's name begins with "E" and ends with "A".

I don't really like how Sony is acting pretty docile about this DRM thing.

 

It's nice how they're not forcing it, sure, but allowing third-party developers and publishers to have free rein over DRM could prove pretty fatal.

I might get a PS4 but I'm focusing on getting a 3DS XL first. The OP makes me want a PS4 more though.

Good, i was worried that sony would jump on the microsoft crapwagon as well.

Good for Sony. They know they'd lose some support from the power hungry companies like EA if they don't have it. I'll definitely give a PS4 a chance.

At least it's not as bad as Microsoft forcing it FULL STOP. SONY has the upper hand in my opinion now, they just need to take this chance, Xbox One looks like an overgloryfied cable box that plays games on the side and that forces you into doing things YOU as the consumer shouldn't have to do. I'm sorry but I'm not a fanboy, I'm just reading the facts that MS gave us, they are MY games and when I'VE paid for them I will do WHAT I WANT that is my right as a consumer END OF. Anyone with a brain should be able to see that what they are doing is wrong, speak with you wallet and don't buy the thing, otherwise they will just think they have just gotten away with it, man the gaming industry is f**ked up these days, makes you wanna blow the dust of your retro consoles and go live under a rock.

sounds more like sonys cant deside, if its up to the developer, the larger games alot of people will want will almost certinly have it, smaller games probly wont. Sony may require it or not depending on how will ninty and xbox1 fair being on the other 2 extremes for DRM.
