Are you the person who is pushing this Yoshi thing all over the board? You know what? Let's just take out Mario from the equation.
That's right. Super Yoshi Sunshine!

Um, Yoshi was in SMS.No reason for there not to be one...
Some new things I want to see are a propeller for FLUDD to swim faster, FLUDD being able to use ice as well as water (maybe even fire, like in LM2), and of course: Yoshi!
Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.

Why are we all clamoring for a
rehashsequel rather than trying to move this series in a different direction? It's beyond stale.
The series isn't stale to me.
I only wish that they make a 3D Mario on the Wii U that is less linear. Whether it is a Sunshine sequel or not, I don't really care. Just as long as it's not like the Galaxy series.

1. It haz to be open world, not linear like SMG.
2. Bring back the normal healthbar and not just three lifes, that way, enemies can take different amount of damage on you, which makes more sense, (a chain chomp taking as much damage as a goomba seems wierd to me)
3. No annoying power-ups that last for ten seconds,i want normal mario.
4. Make 1-ups harder to get.
Thats what i can come up with at least for now.
SMG didnt meet any of these "requirements" for being as enjoyable as SM64 and SMS.
But this is just my opinion of course.

I wish!
Super Mario Sunshine is my favorite 3D Mario platformer. I don't know if they'd ever actually do a sequel to it, but I would be happy if they did because I'd love to see the return to the less linear Mario platformers. Sunshine was actually a nice balance, you had the regular levels which were all open-ended, but then you had the Secrets which were more linear. As much as I enjoyed the Super Mario Galaxy series, I'd much prefer to have open-ended levels.
If they were to make a sequel, I definitely want it on the Wii U. It'd be a really pretty theme to introduce Mario to HD.
i agree.

Personally if they consider make a new 3D Mario plattformer for WiiU i hope they go with the "open world" way with a new theme so the game doesn't feel rehashed.

This is why they should make Super Mario Sunshine 2.
Super Mario Sunshine was one of the best Super Mario games ever for three reasons.
1. The upbeat tropical setting and music makes you want to play it over and over again.
2. An imersive style of gameplay, there's somthing satisfying about cleaning up dangerous paint or hovering with water from a talking robot strapped to your back.
3. So many secrets scattered all over Delfino Plazaand the many areas of Delfino Island but whose to say the next one has to be in that area.
Oh and its Mario.
That is so true with cleaning the goo. I remember my sister spending hours just cleaning the goo.

I was just about to reply with that when I seen you posted it first.
I think a Sunshine 2 would probably work best on a 3DS but then again we haven't seen much of the Wii U yet.
thats awesome could you send a link if you happen to remember where you saw it, and actually i dont think a 3DS version would be a good idea. its too big of a game to reduce it to hand held level. it should be for a home console in my opinion
