Wow, there are people who think this will look as good on Wii U as PS4? On at best 1/5 the processing power of the PS4 GPU? I don't think so.
I mean sure, it might not completely ruin the gameplay, but I would be very VERY surprised if the PS4 didn't blow the PS3/360/WiiU versions away. (and the Wii U version should look better than PS3/360)
That is before you factor in the physics, NPCs, the vast increase in quantity of scenery compared to other open world games and in greater quantities on PS4/XBone. Then there is the fact its in 1080p vs 720p which a lot of people underestimate how much difference that makes to the feel of a game.
Will it be a good game on Wii U? I hope so. But the PS4 version should be vastly preferable, not least due to the fact its loading from HDD so should suffer less pop in than Wii U.
If nothing else, the Wii U is limited by having to load from an optical disc with considerably higher seek latencies than HDDs. Most PS3/360 games at LEAST use the HDD to cache often used data to reduce the load on the optical drive, the XBone/PS4 cache THE WHOLE GAME to the HDD, the Wii U does neither.
Plus, multi-player is a HUGE aspect of this game. Other games can sneak into your game world, you can sneak into theirs, and that is going to be pretty limited by the lack of Wii U owners and people like me who DO own a Wii U but will get the game on PS4 because it WILL be better. All those little graphical things that many people dismiss as being unimportant DO suck you into the world more, especially as I tend to play open world games as much for looking at the detail in the scenery (like going on holiday) as for the game itself.
