Hopefully it helps move more systems.  I got a $25 gift card from target with my purchase back in April, so I don't feel so bad about it.

This isn't fair. I want to sell my current Wii U and buy the Windwaker bundle but I can't thanks to Nintendo's backwards policies on digital games.

 

I wonder if there will be a price cut in the UK? Retailers are already selling it for below the rrp but I wonder if nintendo will lower the rrp.

I was thinking about it, and is there a real price drop? In the HW i mean.

If the Basic model goes away, all Nintendo did was add the extra memory and a few items and basically sell the game it comes bundled with, for free. Thus, not taking losses on the actual HW, but simply not making money on the game that is bundled.

 

Overall, i see it as Nintendo increasing the value on the smallest entry price and eliminating the highest one.
Actually leaving PS4 at a distance of 100-160 (with game) bucks, now.

Well technically it doesn't come until September 20th. Then again you could do something years later and it would still technically be "weels later" just a whole bunch of weeks. Anyway I hope they still have the basic model...
