I will never get why people care so much about something they don't have to buy. The design is weird (what I thought when I fist saw it) sure, but allows entry to the  3DS library and is for people that care less about the 3D, which is probably quite a few people.

I will never get why people care so much about something they don't have to buy. The design is weird (what I thought when I fist saw it) sure, but allows entry to the  3DS library and is for people that care less about the 3D, which is probably quite a few people. It's not even coming out in Japan or any of the other countries.

Because it's hilarious to see the company making such a crazy decision and undermine their seemingly successful console.

I know a couple of people who want to play Pokemon X/Y but can't afford to pay so much for a 3DS and the game.

I just appreciate all the Japanese gamers responding in English, many people are bilingual but everyone of them in English is just easier to read.

It's less of a place of ogregotry than 4chan is, though somewhat similar.
I'd compare it to reddit more so than 4chan.

Its marketed at a demographic that likes anything shiny

 

Its bulky and flat so that when they throw it or drop it or flail around with it in their hands its not gonna snap in half...

 

Plus bonus points for not causing seizures to the targeted age group

What's wrong with that? Some of the smart apps on TV are really terrible, and the interface can be extremely confusing. It's a lot easer just to use a blurayer or console that gets updates.

 

My Idea of a perfect TV is just a gorgeous monitor that hooks up to my AV receiver for all ports.

It will likely be a waste of Nintendo's money which is something many care about. I bet the 2DS will be retired in less than a year.

Some people are colorblind, and would be happy if they can buy a cheaper set that saves cost by cutting out the colour processors. I believe that a B&W leica came out a little while ago that takes absolutely BEAUTIFUL pictures because the same sensor can use each pixel independently instead of together as a colour group.

 

The point is, it may not apply to all, but to some people it's a very acceptable tradeoff for lower cost.

You don't have to buy one. It's another option, not an upgrade.

While people are laughing about how silly the 2DS looks, Nintendo will be laughing all the way to the bank.
