Why do you think 3d world only runs in 720p upscaled to 1080p?

Sure, as long as part of that bet you are making requires you to use the wii stages being shown off right now, and not original stages they show off later.

As im willing to bet this is very obviously done on purpose, on both platforms:

and removing the original dated assets for better ones not in the original games completely defeats the purpose of what they are trying to do.

Im not really sure, all I really remember sakarai talking about was how different they were going to be, the 3ds one would feature levels and themes from nintendos handheld series, while wii u got its level and stuff from console games.

Ah thanks! I didn't think there would be as it could compromise some sales for Wii U. I just wasn't totally sure.

Whatever, the game looks fantastic and Wii U has quite a few 60fps 1080p games out now and coming soon unlike Xbone which is supposed to be "next gen" and can't even run a stripped down version of Ryse in 1080p.


Ryse are you deluded it's the most gorgeous game this gen so far get your head out of your arse it might not have the greatest gameplay agreed as for resolutions again this is on games the Wii U mostly isn't even getting so don't understand the argument could DR3 be put on Wii U without being gimped not sure would forza again highly doubt it I only comment on this forum now and again but I think that comment deserved a response the Xbox One is far more powerful ad this is coming from someone who has a Wii U and Xbox One if you can't accept this your deluded!!

Really? And COD Ghosts on Xbone is a VERY demanding game right?.... in 720p.


No if you read into this it was because they got the development tools too late to properly utilise the system now I guarantee this won't be the case for the next cod.

I have an Xbone too my friend.

 

Going back to my Ryse comment, that was based on the code we saw at E3 which was 1080p. They dropped the resolution but it does look better performance wise than the old version of the game.

 

Regarding COD, yes they probably did base their tools around old Xbone dev kits and didn't get to use the CPU and GPU clock speed buffs during development. But, what I'm hearing is that Microsoft's drivers are crappy and not because Xbone is underpowered.

Good post. Funny how fans of the PS4 and X1 are quick to point out that devs didn't have the final hardware, devkits, or just didn't have the time/resources to optimize the games properly... and yet can bash all multi-plats during the Wii U launch claiming it's because the Wii U is simply under powered.

I dont see the problem, the game not just looks great but also has great physics and many enemies popping out of the screen and not to mention that the draw distance is good

 

but if you want the game upscaled at 1080p and to look near that quality, well you can try out a scaler box that packs the HQV Realta processor, i have heard many good reviews about it but is a little expensieve, yet its not a normal scaler since can do 1024 taps while other scalers do 8 to 16

The Wii U has an excellent built in upscaler. I don't know how it compares to that suspiciously specific chip you keep on referring to, but it does a good enough job.
