I disagree, it's not as powerful as the PS4, it's 50% less powerful, but is it underpowered? No.
The reason it cannot produce native 1080p is because it's a multi-media box with its hardware being split to do more functions than just playing games like the PS4.
This isnt something you can disagree with guy, Its reality. The Xbox one isnt less powerful because its splitting its resources to multitask.
Its less powerful because it has less resources period.
This, is the Xbone APU:
See those 14 AMD radeon gcn cores? Yeah, those are the problem guy.
Heres the ps4 apu Yes, its almost the same damn apu, yes, they have the same cpu's and same type of gpu's. They are practically the same damn machines.
Oh gee, see that box with the graphix makers? Its bigger than the one in xbone!!!! It has 20 AMD radeon gcn cores!!! Thats more than 14!!!
Guess what buddy! YOU NEED THOSE CORES TO MAKE THE PIXELS THAT MAKE THE HIGH RESOLUTIONS!!!!
It doesnt have jack crap to do with 'splitting resources for more functions'
Its because it doesnt have the power to render the same games at the same fidelity at the same resolution as ps4, even if it was doing NOTHING else.
So guess what, when you have two identical twin machines that promise the moon, but dont make it out of the city, and one of them doesnt even make it out of the house, and charges you an extra hundred dollars, you have an underpowered under delivering pile of crap, that has no point to its existence.
