[GAMER1984]

Giest sold like crap so did Eternal Darkness. We got Xenoblade and The last Story and Pandora's Tower which BTW has a really messed up story concept. SB and TLS did well but kinda more the exception than the rule. They are offering a M rated game in Bayonetta 2. Like the new nintendo IP cartoon when they offer variety people often don't buy it. W101 did not sell to great. So people say they want something different. They offer something different or even more mature and people pass it up and just buy Mario and Zelda. So they are damned if they do and damned if they don't

 

But it did not even get an E3 ON STAGE presentation but you know what game did .... SING... how many of you guys purchased sing???? I know many people that liked the look of W101 when nit was finally showed off to knightley or whatever his name is and they were wondering why Nintendo did not use their on stage time to demo that game. So again in part I blame nintendo on that one.

Well in reality I am good I have stated many times I am perfectly fine with what I am getting for Wii U quality 1st party and really good inivative indie games. That doesnt mean that I am going to let Nintendo off the hook when I know they can do better. I have been a nintendo ONLY gamer since NES. I have put a lot of money into that company changes need to be made and I will voice that but it does not mean that I am ok with every decision they make. I never thought I would see days just negativity surrounding the company worse than gamecube days... but damn Wii U has surpassed that. either way just like I did having a gamecube only I will enjoy the games that come to the system.

You found somebody who on some level said something you agreed with and you went frothing fap happy, blindly threw all in with him, insulted everyone who disagreed with you in a gigantlically generalized sweeping statement full of humongous exaggerations and mile high strawmen, and called this guy a genius extroidinaire, a guru who knew everything right and true and was the pinnacle of everything you were talking about, he would show those 'iwata god' filthy peons!!!!

REALLY 3dude. HA that post really made me laugh while I am at work at almost 1:30 in the AM. Yes I loved most of his take on Nintendo (not having any sports games on a home console) also (Iwata being praised as God and no fault being found).  I have never said Iwata never did any good in his tenure as CEO of Nintendo. My gripe is with anytime anyone brings up the fact that Iwata seems to be making mistake or they dont feel he is no longer the right man for the job they get shut down with the only argument is he had success in the past. Again that is fine I am just worried that when is enough going to be enough. E3 will show us a lot which I have said also. Man you really put words in my mouth with your last post it really was entertaining to read. there are various sites with nintendo gamers this is not the only one. I have spoken to various gamers from all different back grounds in reference to nintendo and why they have not purchased their consoles now and in the past. It may not be credible to you but it does not mean that their are not gamers out there that feel a certain way about intendo and their decisions. I hate bringing these things up on this forum site as it really is my favorite for the most part.... somewhat of a balance of the extreme gamers. I dont take it personal your take on my last post it was just funny to me. keep up the good work!

The whole 3rd party support thing Its well documented. Nintendo willingly held back it's 1st party lineup.
Its on paper the world knows that for the 3ds and the games that went on to sell a mill each and helped save the console.
They were all pushed back specifically so that 3rd party software didn't have 1st party competition yet no one took advantage of it
Similar deal with the wiiu and even then its like all of EA's games run on 1 cpu core had zero marketing from EA,Low ship rates and only 2-3 copies showed up per store. Worse yet why not just port the trilogy when ME3 was a year after release. ZombiU had good pre order numbers but again low ship rates like ME3.
 

 

Nintendo gave it to them and 3rd parties and consumers dropped the ball. So what are they supposed to do?

Dont ship the games and release your own games or even indie. I mean Nintendo has to sign off on everything that is released. I think it was a bad mentality from nintendo and 3rd party. The feeling I got was oh Nintendo gamers will jump at the chance to play games in HD on a Nintendo system right. Wrong the majority of gamers already had a HD systems ps360. I was a Wii only owner for the 7th gen so Yes I was a day 1 buy but how many of those 90+ million Wii owners were like me? most were casual party gamers that could care less about an upgrade to HD.

I agree with most of what you said and Nintendo shouldnt be asked to fix the industry. I just know they can do better and find a balance that is better for gamers. I loved the bayo2 announcement from Nintendo no one saw that coming. they need more acqusition like that.

That's what makes me think this is fake. Mistwalker makes JRPGs and the Xbox brand has never done anything but bomb in Japan, so why would they make an Xbone exclusive?

Mistwalker did make an exclusive 360 game before, so this isn't new.

Nintendo can't fix the industry, but they can make sure they don't go along with the falling standards - which is exactly what they apear to be doing. That's why I love 'em so much (well at least it's one of the reasons).

Nah. If third parties want to compete with Nintendo games, we shouldn't all have to suffer by Nintendo releasing less often or worse games to make third parties who don't put as much passion behind their games as Nintendo. f they want sales on Wii U, they can advertise for Wii U themselves and try to maybe actually make games as good as Nintendo's. If Nintendo falls to the same stupidity the other companies do, say bye-bye to great games, and expect everything to turn into a huge money whore orgy.

The other two games, Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, were both published by Microsoft. Maybe they struck another deal with them. Mistwalker is apparently still working on a Wii U game though, and we haven't heard anything about that.
