With what evidence I am able to look at here, I believe the developer is the reason only the wii u version is not ready, and was as such when namco decided to be a distributor.
The evidence I am basing this off of is project cars weekly build logs, which were a weekly source of interesting wii u hardware information, with many updates in many builds, many times a week... As such, and as i had access to them, I checked them regularly... Up until work on the next gen (unannounced) systems. Once this started wii u updates became notably less frequent, often missing a mention in entire weekly logs. By the time the weekly logs started callin 'next gen systems' ps4 and xbox one respectively, wii u log updates had ceased entirely for... some time.
The reason the wii u version is not ready, is probably because slightly mad stopped working on it, which is the same reason it stopped appearing in build logs.

Rubbish. Publishers don't always have a say in a games release. Developers can have just as much influence on such decisions.
I suggest you go back and read my post as you obviously haven't. My point was that its not only publishers who can have an influence on a games release date but developers also. People who make the assumption that its always the publishers are wrong.
I read it. I literally missed one word (either). I would never respond like that to a post i haven't read.
Cause then i would make myself look silly like ryudo just did.
Anyway i very much agree, and was going to add that to the end of my first response to ryudo, but forgot. Humans in general are pretty greedy, and there are very few fields of work where that won't show through. Game development is not one of them.
Lots of angry passion here.
