NON-SERIOUS STORYTELLING STARTS HERE
Once upon a time, in the land of Chat, there was 4 peasants named StreetPassWanter, ThePumpkinKing, Link, and Red Link. Red Link was talking about how back in the 3DS Buzz, there was a time when many Links appeared when suddenly, StreetPassWanter had an idea! He made a plan with the three to be disguised as the four Links from Four Swords because it was the last day of Zelda's 25th Anniversary was upon them soon.
And so, they changed their avatars to those of the four Links. StreetPassWanter became Green Link, ThePumpkinKing became Blue Link, Link became Purple Link, and Red Link stayed Red Link. Other peasants, liked the idea and started to join in. Some peasants sadly couldn't change their name because of the 3 Name Limit Law placed by King Feld0, so they just changed their avatars instead. This went on for 3 days, until the anniversary was over. Some peasants stayed with their Zelda-themed avatars and names, other's didn't. In the end, it was a pleasant time, though it ended so soon.
The thought hit StreetPassWanter that it would end very soon during the first day. So he went back to the land of chat, and asked if the peasants would like another day like this even though it just started. There was unanimous yes, and StreetPassWanter started planning. The event would be soon called "The Username and Avatar Monthly Party" and he put up a notice the the day the anniversary was finished....
At first, everything was fine. Until one day, a wizard name superdarkyoshi appeared. The wizard thought that changing the names of a person can be confusing, so he asked StreetPassWanter to make the party with only avatars. They argued, and so they made a compromise to remove the "Username" part of the title, even though you can still change it. Therefore, the name of the event is now: "Avatar Monthly Party" Then he changed it to "Monthly Avatar Party" for no reason. And then again to "Avatar Party"

OK, now that you know the *cough twisted cough* history of this event, let's start with how this is going to work. Every 20 days, a new theme will occur. These themes are usually video game-related. You will change your avatar (changing your username is completely optional; however you can only change your name once a month) to acknowledge the theme. Every other month will have a special theme, corresponding to the latest events, like the Zelda one mentioned in the story. I will pick the special theme nominees, but you guys will pick the normal ones and vote for the special theme. Now, you don't HAVE to do this, but it'd be awesome if you did!
