Guys, I think he clearly said that it was just a real-time Google sreet view.

Also what graphic engine could be capable of such visuals including all the little details we've seen there ? Tell me.
If you have a little knowledge about computers you would probably agree that no computers (even top ones) can handle something like that. It's too early for photorealistic graphics.

He did not say it was a real-time Google street view. He said, "think of this as a real-time Google street view."

Internet is being evil and the page just won't load, so I'm going to assume we're speaking of this video.

Reasons to believe it's real time:

1) There's lag. I doubt there's a 1080P camera with framerate issues. For CG, what would be the point of pre-rendering at that choppy framerate?
2) Control streaming. Self explanatory.

The fact that they didn't show this as a graphics demo is making me doubt it's real time.

Uhhh I dont think that Nintendo would trick us I think that was actual footage they would never do something just to trick us.

I 100% agree with you and I am HOPING REALLY BAD that it was actual graphics on the Wii U but just in case I won't get hyped, Sony did the same thing with the PS3 back in 2005 with Killzone 2

That whole video was doctored to look that good, the final version did not look that good. I just hope Nintendo is now following Sony strategy of showing something AMAZING and then the final version not look that amazing.

Don't forget that the hardware specs for the Wii U have not been finalised yet. All the development kits are underpowered.
If this prototype was one of those underpowered kits AND is rendering that Tokyo Street View video in realtime.......

You get the picture.

The panorama view was amazing, however I do find it a little confusing that people think it is pre-rendered graphics from the wii u. It clearly looks like a montage of google earth, or some other satellite image. However, I could be wrong, if I am wrong then this is a huge step forward. If it is not a graphics upgrade of photo realism it's still impressive anyway, because it allows the players and game designers to take advantage of a full 360 degrees. The thing is these are infinite revolutions (360 degrees) going into all directions; the capacity for playing is actually pretty mind blowing.

Differential rotation baby! Differential rotation!

It doesn't look like real life, I don't know if it's pre rendered though. It looks pretty detailed. :)

Yes, and that is why everyone is questioning if they are pre-rendered or not. I hope your right though. Because if they are real then like you said, OMG!

Guys, it's not real time graphics.

It's a video showcasing the high bandwith streaming and AR capabilities of the controller.

C'mon now...
You know what guys?
It's amazing how the the human mind does not process the the fact I used the word "the" twice in a row in this sentence.

This is probably a 3d remake of a real video. You can't see a car driving after all.
