So, if we can't control epona, do we have to keep pointing to spots on the map to tell her where to go? That seems a bit... hmm...

 

I was expecting to see some dungeons or something, or a trailer, but the game looks AMAZING so far.

 

Visually, the trailer from E3 2014 made it look nicer, but that could be because we saw it from a distance.

 

Starfox U is coming out before it, I'm placing my bets right now:

 

Majora's mask 3D: March

 

Starfox: September-October

 

Zelda: November-December

Pretty sure you can control her, but if you let off the control stick she won't stop, and just keep going in that general direction while avoiding trees.

 

Honestly, the world looks really barren right now, there's some framerate issues, and it isn't as beautiful as it was at E3, but I have faith they'll fix those problems.

Yep, i think epona is similar to driving in farcry 4, either drive yourself or auto drive to a way point. Epona will always avoid trees cause a horse is SMART.

They did! That's why I said that for starfox lol.

 

Well that's neat I suppose, I hope you can do the slow-mo thing with a sword too, maybe when you're in the air you either do an upward slash or a fatal blow on your enemy :D

Yeah... it is pretty big, but the map made it look small when he zoomed out all the way...

 

I wonder what that magic bar was for, hmm...

 

And no weapon slots either.

 

I think we only got gameplay because they're saving story elements and stuff for E3.

They should bring back the ocarina so that you can call Epona instead of having to search for her...

That was only one section of the map. They said the game is the size of Kyoto. I don't know if they actually can make the game that big. For the moment give Nintendo the benifit of the doubt. that's 320 Square miles. Xenoblade X is sounding to be 100 Square miles.

Witcher III is 20% Larger than Skyrim so about Xenoblade size but open world. DAI is comparable to Xenoblade and is regional not open world. FFXV is shaping to maybe be smaller than XB. So if his claims are playable in game world. Guys that's immensely huge. It makes Xenoblade and Skyrim look like a Cod map.

I think they were purposely not showing much of what the world offers besides showing how you can control and navigate about it. Keeps them spoilers at bay until more proper unveil at e3.

I said it for a long time Nintendo just is not good at hyping. they could have released a gameplay trailer call it a day and people would have went nuts. Either way I am cool with what I am seeing.

And you guys are just a tough crowd. I'm pretty hyped an d so was much of the chat and the audience...I think you guys just expected too much.

If this game doesn't run at 60 FPS, it'll ruin the experience :/

 

Oh, I was SUPER excited the whole time! I love the horse elements, the world looks a bit boring though... just a bunch of trees and grass to fill the area, hopefully there will be more enemies and NPCs, random optional sidequests, mini dungeons all that jazz.

 

I hope you can boat in this game too to go EVEN further :D

saw framerate/slowdown issues. game appears to need more time in the oven. 

 

also wondering how the pop in will work in this game. see forests up close in many areas, but almost everything in the distance is open with little to no trees, which looks like sprites for the most part.

 

also can someone try some wind waker map overlays? see if it looks anything like pre-flooded hyrule?

I doubt the parts where they are riding epona were on the way to the tower, or had to take a very indirect route.  when they were riding epona, it appeared to be morning-midday. completely skipping the night they most likely would have been heading to the tower. they also don't appear to be in the craterlike valley during the horse segments of the video. And no sign of a tower, unless the building which i assume is a bridge entrance (just before the scene where they turn around to the horses) is connected.

eh hard to complain about framerate for a internet stream showing a game off screen
