on a serious note, is there anything we can do to buy the site or what ever? or are we stuck with the waiting game....or just jumping ship to a new site all together

No need to jump ship as the forums can be tweaked enough from administration level to fulfill any future ninty hardware. Buying site was in early discussions.

I only said to jump ship if we couldnt aquire the rights needed to fix everything up (on a side note, i cant use the forums on chrome anymore...so i should talk to an admin about that)

That's odd. The site was slow the other day, failed to load every so often or was dreadfully slow. Still having the issue?

yup, worked fine for a few hours then crapped out on me, either have to use ie (ew) or my phone. I'm sure I'll figure it out, this is starting to get off topic

Usually the site is very fast for me I'm surprised how light on resources the site must be lol.

Making a forum based on a single console that would eventually become obsolete probably wasn't the best idea. The name should have been broader to the Nintendo brand. A new domain isn't expensive whatsoever but that's up to the webmaster.

I kinda like the idea of the Nintnedo Cafe. I really love this site, so tweaking it a bit to allow for discussion of the NX along with older consoles would be cool. Though I wonder if more users would show up? In all honesty, the low userbase is one of my favorite things about this place... Everyone knows everybody... It feels like a nice little town.

A small intimate user-base is nice but it doesn't justify the cost and upkeep. I'm honestly surprised this place is still around.

Late reply, but worth noting I get this on Chrome as well. I always have to reload it.
