The problem is Sony has never done anything original, at any time in their life as a company, except MAYBE dual-analog, and the fact that they take credit for just about every innovation out there. That's what most of us here are mad at Sony for. At least Microsoft tried something new with the Kinect...Sony only churns out the same old crap.
Slow down there. Never innovated?
History has shown a number of times that they've had the ideas for innovation, and that they've tried. Nintendo is constantly heralded as the innovator because they show off their ideas in public first. That doesn't mean Sony, or any other company for that matter, had also been working towards the same goal.
Since Sony comes second, they attempt to improve upon the idea. And that's pretty much how a lot of technology evolves. Sony, however, doesn't seem too keen on supporting Move much though, unlike Microsoft and Kinect. They might drop, but I'm doubtful of that.
Personally, I believe Sony is an innovator, but doesn't want to take risks with certain aspects of gaming - In this case, the controller. It's like Nintendo keeping away from a competent online structure, and observing how Microsoft and Sony handle theirs before launching one.
