Bleach 520 - Didn't know what to expect after last chapter. All I can say is wow.

Bleach 523 - The last few pages really made this chapter actually. Mangastream's translation seems to suggest some weird sexual tension between the two Kenpachis, but what really sent chills was Unohana's appearance



One Piece 695 - I liked this chapter overall, but I was disappointed in the lack of Doflamingo. Still Usopp displayed some nice skills in this chapter, especially using seastone handcuffs (which I recall he collected in an earlier chapter). I imagine the mystery character at the end is actually Aokiji riding on an ice pheasant. A Law/Aokiji/Strawhat/Smoker team-up would be amazing against Doflamingo.

Bonney may probably be under World Government or Marine surveillance. Her relation to Akainu is still unknown, but Akainu suggested she was important to the World Government

one theory is that they use Bonney´s devilfruit power to keep the Gorosei alive by keeping them young. Makes a lot of sense to me since they are crucial for the functionality of the government

This week was pretty weak.

In particular, One Piece had neither Doflamingo nor the mystery perason (still thinking Aokiji) in this release. It at least revealed that Luffy and Law are going to face Kaido though. Luffy, I suppose doesn't mind taking on Kaido and Big Mom and once.

Naruto 619 - While I find Orochimaru reviving four people who should never appear again, I did find this chapter so much more entertaining than the last few chapters featuring the ninja alliance, Madara, and Obito. I suppose actually seeing the contrasting personalities of the first and second hokages was the main attraction here. It's funny how they reacted to seeing Minato. And I'm curious as to what Orochimaru is gaining from all this...

One Piece 698 - Yep, I was right about Aokiji though I guess it was pretty obvious. This was an information chapter, so I wasn't that engaged (One Piece is pretty saturated with information and whether or not it's interesting is something I normally think about...). Anyway, Doflamingo has the emperor's haki it seems. And Smoker didn't stand a chance against him... Well I doubt Doflamingo stands a chance against Aokiji, but he could surprise me.
