REALLY?
Aren't these triggers?
Posted Image

-A digital trigger (shown in the pic) only has two degrees, pressed and not pressed.
-Whereas an analog trigger has many degrees of pressure as you push it down (or 'pull' it down, if you wanna be a (0-0) lol)

As Cerberuz said, its great for things like racing games when you dont want to floor it into a turn or something. A little press on the trigger makes a huge difference. Better control. Just hope the final controller has em.

I think a better example for them is Super Mario Sunshine when you put slight pressure on the trigger FLUDD will shoot small amounts of water and the more pressure you put the more water he shoots.

Yes Excellent.

Which brings up another thing. GC has analog trigz. Heck I think even the Wii classic controller has those squishy analog buttons.
I just feel like it would give haters a reason to hate or developers a reason to have some sort of problem with the controller if they weren't on there.

It'll still be an amazing controller, but why take a step back with that?

Those are analog. It's a pretty standard feature nowadays.

the only controllers I didnt like by nintendo, is the wii mote.. I used gamecube controllers for my games.. It was so... uncomfortable, even if I added it in the wheel peripheral for mario cart, I couldnt just move to drive my car, I proffered the old style, I have big hands, and it felt like a slippery cucumber in my hands.. lol I couldn't get use to it.., wii u controller is one of the best, if it didnt drain lots of wii U power, as for the power consumption, I hope we will have the option to wire it as well...

anyway, I have a sidewinder and 2 gamecube controllers as a backup... (also a wii mote..lol) I also like wii U size because of my big hands.. lol

Yes the Xbox has Analog Triggers 'Right Trigger' and 'Left Trigger'. The ones you accelerate and brake with right?

Like everyone said, people dislike it for various reasons. Some because they do not like change. Some are worried about price, some are worried about the no analog triggers and clickable sticks. Also some simply worry the controller will eat up battery life and console power.

I'm not keen to be honest. It looks bulky and I don't really see the point for most games of having to look at 2 screens. I also worry about battery life and the inconvenience of it. I can see though that it will offer greater gameplay possibilities but I think most of those will be novelties that don't add much to games. I would of prefered the extra money was spent on making the wii U more powerful and have gone with a smaller controller. My interest in the wii U is really about playing the amazing first party Nintendo games.

I see your point and don't worry, some games would just use it to clear the TV screen (menu, time etc.)

Besides that, I don't think a lot hate the controller. You know, a hater screeams louder than a lover. The same applies to rumors. You always remember the bad rumors whereas the good ones just make you smile for a second.

I really don't see why its such a big deal to have the WiiU at $300, like the last gen consoles started at $500 when they were first released, and if i remember correctly the PS3 was almost $1000 for the 160gb model.

Hopefully this turns out a little like the DS did, at first it seemed like a definite flop but after it was released it was embraced by everybody showing you weren't too young or too old to enjoy this new(and reasonably comfortable) control setup

People say it's a gimmick...

I can guarantee you that most of those people who use that word don't even know what it means.
To them, anything that isn't "traditional" is labeled as a 'gimmick' when in actual fact it is defined as;

"an ingenious or novel device, scheme, or stratagem, especially one designed to attract attention or increase appeal."

The 160GB model was released in 2009 and was $300, now $250.

I think some people really don't like Wii U Controller and I believe some of it is because they don't see the use for it. Kind of something you have to try and would love. However I think most people don't like change and they are just Gerri g use to motion control. I think when people see it in action they will love it.

The analogue effect can be achieve by you pressing the trigger and moving the controller in 3d space.
I'd guess that's what Nintendo are going to try and do.

Yeah. that could probably work. Sounds innovative, which is Nintendo's style.
Again, I believe this controller will be great.

1. Sony/Micro Fanboys:
Those people are annoying.... well.. they are fanboys, and all fanboys are like that no matter what company or franchise. They defend their system or series even though the console or game is horrible, and insult the company or franchise's rivals...
2. The price:

well.. we all know the controller is not gonna be cheap... so this is the only good reason to dislike it.
3. Nostalgia:
No need to explain... right?

Sony/Microsoft fanboys wish Sony/Microsoft had thought of it first.
