Nintendo's Investor Meeting is in a few days and I'm wondering what do you want Nintendo to announce about the Wii U?.

Mine would be
  • Name Change confirmed
  • Give more info about Nintendo Network on the Wii U
  • Maybe announce some new games coming to Wii U
  • Announce the Wii U is getting huge third party support
  • Wii U much more powerful then current HD consoles (I really don't think they would announce that until E3 2012 but It's wishful thinking lol)
  • Might as well just announce E3 2012 Conference date and time (most likely June 5th at 9:00)

I want them to announce whatever they want. It's their meeting after all.

I don't like these threads since they lead to so many unrealistic expectations, but hey if you're all into having fun so much. :P
Just realise, they're aiming an investor call at investors, you're not going to get anything very specific, just a target for Nintendo in the next 3-6 months, and some gestures to re-assure investors.

I'm not going to say what I want them to reveal, because that'd be a massive list I can't even order into a text list.
Here's what I believe they'll tell investors, realistically.
Sales update.
whether or not they plan to sell Wii U at a loss.
Any major partnerships, excluding any they want to keep a secret for e3.
Plans to launch Wii U with a Mario game, and follow it up with strong titles to keep momentum.
Perhaps a date on the eShop going web-browser compatible to get some extra avenues for cash.

I don't foresee much beyond that, in my crystal balls.

Well considering Nintendo has announced lots of things at past Investor Meetings like

April 2006 - Revolution name announced as Wii

April 2011 - Project Cafe confirmed to be shown off at E3 2012

January 2012 - Tons of Nintendo Network news for Wii U, NFC, etc

So a lot can be announced in this Investor Meeting.

Miyamoto saying 'Happy early Birthday' to me.

-To know if you can create your Nintendo Network account on the/a website in case you don't get the Wii U at launch or so you can create it while you are waiting in line, so it can be ready when you get home.

That is one of the reasons why I feel the need to get a Wii U as soon as possible.
The only problem with that, however, would be that a lot of people would just create accounts and not ever buy a Wii U.
I'd like if you can make an account if you've pre-ordered one or something, to avoid the disappointment of not being able to have your desired ID because of a screw-up that causes a delay in your shipping, or being just short of getting one at the store and having to wait for a long period of time.
That, or they somehow have some evidence that you're definitely going to buy one.

I would expect if Nintendo will change the name it will be here.

Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

I'd be expecting a lot of push for the Wii U to be bought, and vague reasons why. Nothing too concrete, to settle the imagination.

Rough release date. Potentially the exact month, but I'm not expecting the day. That will more than likely be said at E3.

I'd expect rough detailing of concepts going through, rather than concrete stuff. Like with Nintendo Network, they will more than likely beat around the bush, giving inklings.

For 3rd parties, they will probably show more of the confirmed titles as opposed to announcing new ones. I'd expect more info on something such as Lego City Stories, show off more of EA's support toward the console (whether that would be actual game announcements or not), but I have a doubts about completely new announcements.

For 1st party, probably Pikmin 3, whatever they have as in something more casual like Mii games and Nintendogs. Potentially a small shot of getting a hint at what Retro has in store. More likely seeing some more Mario though.

As for hardware, probably show more of what the Wii U has to offer in a general sense. Controller redesign shown if it happened. But nothing too specish.

Name change, not so sure.

But that's the most I reckon they'll say, and even then, that's when they choose to reveal everything. Which they don't. So expect less than half.

Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

I want just a little bit of news. Something to keep us talking till E3 but not to spoil it. A name change would be good and some 3rd party titles would be a good start

Nothing of significance will be mentioned. E3 is close Nintendo is good and keep everything a secret till E3.
[E3 2012] Nintendo gets it's throne back.

Does anyone know exactly when this is taking place? Since it's an investor meeting I'm assuming it won't be streamed, but I'd like to know when we'll start getting the info from it.
