The wire that connects to earlier devkits is on the bottom.
The coax cable connected to the top in that video was for sound, which is why it was connected to the microheadphone socket.

the dev kit color is original, and different than for the V4. I think i rarely seen such color used on a dev kit.

Hahaha, the "original" part was the ****ing colour of the devkit.

That's not even original, Nintendo have always made their devkits have some different colouring on them.
Wii = green/red front
ds = attached to massive blue box
dsi = black and white
3ds = red 3d slider

4 is Unneccassary. For the System to be able to stream to 4 of those at once would take an enormous amount of power. 2 is Just right.

Really? I must have missed out on that haha, good news though!

Hopefully 4 at launch, that would seal it for me!

Besides, why would everyone need a UPad when playing locally?

Ideamans change to the dev kit is not the controller. That was the only hint. So it's probably a software/OS feature

Or playing while the Super Bowl, FIFA World Cup, or other things alike are on.

Yah not many times will you have 4 local players. A friend could bring their Wii U over and say for Mario Party 10 2 people on each console playing online?

Curious to know what the controller will have. I realise the main console does most of the work but the controller will need an arm cpu or similar to run it. Maybe something about 1/2 DS power, like 40-50mhz. I wonder if it will do anything at all when the main console is off. It would be good if you could run a few mini games on it.

The V5 dev kit surely means the wii u spec is locked down. I'm hoping the bonus/extra feature is more memory like 1.5GB. It would be fantastic if it had that. I hope its shared and not permantly split like 1GB main and 0.5GB video. Its nice to be so close to a major console launch, its been a while.

It will easily have more than 1.5GB of memory MARK MY WORDS ON THAT ONE!
