So, let's assume that ghosts exist. If you had the opportunity to communicate with a spirit/ghost, would you?

I'm actually unsure if I would or not. Mainly because I would be kind of creeped out of the fact that I would be communicating with someone that is not alive.

If you guys don't mind, I'll add a Christian's point of view in this.

Those spirits/ghosts you see clairvoyants, fortune-tellers and ghost whisperers talk to are Satan's demons in disguise to fool those who don't know any better. They claim to be "ghosts/spirits" who have "passed-on" onto another life, a spiritual dimension beyond ours and that they still exist.

GOD's word, the Bible, says otherwise on Ecclesiastes 9:5 "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten." (NIV)

Through doing this they can lure you towards spiritualism and take you away from GOD's influence; this is our idea on how an individual can be possessed by demons.

So, obviously, my answer is a no.

I'm often very reluctant to post religious opinions onto the Internet because it has a very high chance of arousing unnecessary conflicts.
But after all my time on this site, I know I can trust you all. Thank you.

I know that you specifically said that was coming from a Christian's perspective, but I'm uncomfortable with people talking through their own religious perspective and using it to persuade others that a particular religeon is iligitimate.

I'm not here to persuade anyone to follow my beliefs, nor am I wanting to convert others who follow another religion.
I just want to give a different opinion, that's all.

Being that i claim know religion at all, i didn't feel as though you were trying to persuade anyone at all.

Anyway on topic i would enjoy being able to talk to a spirit, i like exploring the unexplained and if given the chance i would relish in the opportunity i had to speak with one.

I really wouldn't care. Even if a spirit was threatening me I could always pull out my handgun! JK But really I always do like listening to stories and who knows, you just may learn something from the experience. (sorry I am atheist so if I offended you in anyway shape or form I am deeply sorry)

I don't really believe in spirits. However, I do believe in visions. I would elaborate, however it looks like there are some members who don't really care all that much for sharing religious experiences.
