During a recent interview, Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that Nintendo is preparing the next Legend of Zelda title for the Nintendo 3DS. Fans of the franchise will have to wait “just a little while longer” for any specific details regarding the game. Nintendo is still deciding which Zelda game – Majora’s Mask or A Link to the Past – would be a better fit for 3DS users.
Zelda producer Eiji Aounuma has shown interest in developing a remake for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, while Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed that he would like to make a new Zelda game “based on, or starting from” SNES classic A Link to the Past. Which Zelda game would you want most on the 3DS: a remake of A Link to the Past, a sequel to A Link to the Past, or a remake of Nintendo 64′s Majora’s Mask?

“We haven’t quite decided yet, whether we’re going to do A Link to the Past, because there’s also the possibility of doing a remake of Majora’s Mask. This is something we’ve certainly been talking about and doing a little bit of experimenting with, to figure out which way we’re going to go.”

Why does everyone want a remake? Majora's Mask is epic, no doubt about it, but I'd prefer a new release over a remake! With a remake, you're playing the same thing with one or two new features. With a new release, you're playing something entirely different!

As much as i would love another 3D remake (despite not owning a 3DS), i think it would be better to just make a new game and incorporate elements from both games.
I think a game in the style of Wind waker would be better, now i know that PH and ST weren't the best games in the series but in my opinion a realistic Zelda art style doesn't seem to fit right on the 3DS.

But what. They were going to do a NEW game first. So that means they are making two games at the time for one platform?

I'd like this: a NEW game based on ALTTP (classic controls, top-down view... stuff like that.) and a remake of MM, but this time, with added content. The game could use an optional bonus dungeon (and a Master Quest like OOT3D)

I want them to kiss too, more of a romantic relationship would be nice rather than just rescuing a stranger. I know they were closer in SS but from what I hear it wasn't as close as I would have liked.
