As far as I understand it, its quite possible to take a mainstream pc gpu and strip out features. Is it possible we will end up with a feature rich gpu that actually performs below that of the 360 gpu in actual polygons etc?

Psst, I heard from my mamma that the Wii U will be able to play video games yo. Can your PS3 do that!?
Don't thin the PS3 plays games, although it can play blu-rays and has a half decent internet browser

Zero. Powerful laptop GPU's that consume low power are expensive because they are rare. Not all chips are created equally and the best ones end up as high end GPU's/ CPU's.

It's really old news. So it is confirmed now, nice. But can you trust the source this time?
Also, it has been posted for months now that the Wii U has a more powerful GPU but will lack CPU power and developers fear they can't improve AI and stuff.
Don't go all hype all the time. Unless you want to be disappointed in the end.
