That's when you'll see the real Wii U games come out.

At launch and after, they are not using full system capabilities and a bit rushed.

Around one year after launch, the good stuff comes out.

I know the first games will be Aliens Colonial Marines and Project C.A.R.S.

Noooo!!! Due to the different architecture the first games will be Nintendos. The wii u has methods to take the load off both the CPU and gpu. So games that have started development on ps360 will not show major improvements. Unless some actual effort is presented

Noooo!!! Due to the different architecture the first games will be Nintendos. The wii u has methods to take the load off both the CPU and gpu. So games that have started development on ps360 will not show major improvements. Unless some actual effort is presented

Those are games where they are pushing the graphics to the most instead of a port though.

Well Arkham City: Armoured edition already has

- PC textures
- Great Anti Aliasing (no anti aliasing on Wii U gamepad)
- Better Fire/Explosion Effects than any version including PC
- Better draw distance
- In game cut-scenes
- Better lighting
- Re-colour grading

Assasins Creed III has (minimum)

- Better Textures
- Better Lighting

Aliens Colonial Marines is said to be the best visually, but they wanted every gamer to have a similar experience, so deliberately held back.

I'm guessing it'll have

- Slightly better lighting
- Slightly better textures
- Anti Aliasing
- Slightly improved Fire and Particle effects
- Increased Draw Distance

I can't wait to see what it does with a true 8th gen title

just what I thought... a ported already launched game couldn't possibly that much visually advanced.. there will be slight close up difference, but generally the same... unless they recode and optimize the whole thing...

nway, didn't they say the spec is subject to change? supposedly the newer dev kits could have better specs...

Does anybody else feel that like the mario games are gonna always look the same? if you make it more HD and more realistic with better graphics, Like take Battle field 3 enviroment and stick Mario in it i dont think itd work too well :P i like how mario games look now like mario galaxy 2 looks perfect to me, all this talk about graphical improvement, does that mean its gonna change how he looks?

No, of course not. He will look like he does on the Wii but more clear. It will just look nicer. Mario isn't a game where the environment will change. The 9th gen Mario will be very clear but looking the same.

Dang, I just realised that the final product will not support Ethernet connectivity.
That's a shame. LAN is much more reliable and effective in comparison to WLAN.

I know, Joshua said it is FINALIZED not to support Ethernet when this is like devkit 3 out of 5.

Hmm I would wrather go with a 6770 because with the 6760 it would be a drop in performance I would think with half the flops.

Wii U vs PS3

Please note the PS3 specs have are clocked 550Mhz and 256mb RAM

Wii U vs 360

Please note the 360 specs will be slightly less due to it being underclocked. For example the card here can do 10000 MTexles/sec whereas the 360's chip can only do 8000. The 360's exenos is only capable of 240GFLOPS, Wii U's is capapble of 1TFLOP.

This makes the Wii U's GPU an average of 3.7x the power of the Xbox360. This is amazing news! It also means that the GPU in the Xbox8 may only be an average of 2x the Wii U, not the huge difference the 360 had over the Wii. It's not quite the 1.3TFLOP creature I would have liked, but it's still got some amazing specs

Seems like it's from the DevKit 4, DevKit5 feature spec bump, and there's totally going to be one more revision for retail before RTM.

Sorry, that quote was confusing. I meant the console shown in E3. (I just had this sudden realisation.) From what I've seen, or rather what I haven't seen, is an Ethernet port.
