I can’t give you any details now, but I’m sure there will be a new Metroid release making use of the new controller, not just to control Samus and her ship but also to give the player a new source of information.Maybe the player is looking at the screen but has the information that they need to defeat the enemy in their hands. You could look through the screen and scan your enemy and find where it’s weakspot is.

Agreed. A subtle 3D effect would really benefit a classic side scroller Metroid.I think they would release a classic metroid for 3ds, not wii u

Personally I think that the Wii u should get a prime or other m style game, while the 3ds should get a sidescroller (super metroid remake anyone?)
I agree

Plus Retro are the only developers worthy of making a Metroid Game (except ninty itself of course) Jog on team ninja.

It would have a Prime style to it so you aim yourself. (no Auto-aim)
New planets at a much larger scale.

But I don't necessarily want another "Prime" (meaning, a first-person shooter/adventure)... I would be all for an entirely different mode of play for the franchise, as long as the core Metroid dynamic of recursive, layered exploration, haunting atmosphere, upgradable abilities, deep alien lore and complex environmental puzzles were all preserved.
Keep the above qualities, keep the realistic, captivating aesthetic, and you've got me sold...
