The Lifespan of the Wii U Forums.

This question has been bugging me for a while and I just want to ask it. What will be the lifespan of these forums and how things will be handled when the next Nintendo home console rolls around. Obviously that will not be soon ( at least another 5 years from now), but I'm just thinking for the future. When the next Nintendo home console rolls around ( lets refer to it as the Nintendo X for now). Will this forum stay as it is? Or will it be remade ( keeping all users and stats intact) as the Nintendo X forums?

If the forum stays as it is, will another forum be created by someone like Feld0 or David? Not to mention if the forums stay the same, the more grim situation. What will happen to this forum and when user activity lowers, will these forums close?

Just to wrap things up, this wont happen for at least another 5 years or so. But I'd just like to know what happens when this occasion eventually comes. Not to mention how it will be handled by the Moderators and Administrators. This same question could also apply to the closely related 3DS Forums.

My guess is it will stay as is. thats just what i have seen with other forums.

It'll probably renovate to the new console with Wii U having an archive section

I have a feeling if another Forum akin to this one is made for the next gen system, a lot of us will move over there. However, I think that this will just get a name change or something. Maybe we will all just stay here. It is too early to tell in my opinion.

What makes you think he isn't going to be on in the next five years just because he's been quiet for the past week? Feld0's gotten busier, he's already had to leave a couple of his websites to make time for theWiiu.com and mlpforums.
If he does leave, he will announce it first, a few tears will drop and everyone will move on with their new admin, Not SuperMaddud. So... *breathes slowly* just chillax, bro *passes joint*

Feld0 would probably just buy a new domain for the new console and keep the forum as is, changing categories etc. to be more relevant to the new console slowly.
Unless he loses interest in video games and/or Nintendo by then, which is likely.

I don't know what Feld0's plans for the future are, but if he decides to have a forum for Nintendo's next console, I imagine he would simply rename this current one.

I think the name would just change. From what I've seen, hosting a second forum wouldn't be cheap.
