"Nintendo of America director of product marketing Bill Trinen has told GameSpot that the company isn’t making anymore Wii games now that the Wii U has launched. Trinen was asked whether there were any internally developed Wii games in the pipeline, to which he answered, “No, there are not right now.”

Third Parties can still make games. It's not that dead.

This is to be expected, really.

I for one can say that I'm not surprised in the slightest.

This wasa to be expected, they need to focus on the Wii U and creating games for it and other features for it as well.

Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

Reggie: That now concludes another boring Nintendo Direct...oh wait...I forgot...Star Fox U is coming out... - until next Direct...good night guys! - Everyone else: wait..what? o.o

in a way this is good because it means that they can focus on the Wii U.
I wouldn't call The Wii dead though. I know that I will probably end up buying games for the Wii in years to come like Super Mario galaxy (I haven't played that game at all yet :P)

PM me if you want to add me on 3ds

Just kidding, we're porting the new HD Zelda to the Wii. Oh, and the SNES.

What about the NES? It's only like 30.

^ That right there. Let's all hope that by next year from now at least 3 more exclusives are either launched or announced.

I predict seeing a lot of dual-discs coming out in the next year or so. A game with a Wii disc that also has some sort of (very basic) functionality for he GamePad. They'll be transitional games that are made to bridge the gap between Wii and Wii U. They will not be by Nintendo however. There is little reason to buy a Wii U if you can get Nintendo's latest on the Wii. Smash Bros. Wii? Nope. Wii U? Certainly.

I own a Wii, but I have no problem with Nintendo focusing all it's energies on Wii U.

Yeah they just need to let the Wii go and just do all they can with the Wii U. This is good. I just want my real Mario game as fast as possible, then I will be satisfied fully.

Not surprised. Also will not be surprised if we see ONE MORE TITLE. Or maybe ONE MORE TITLE after that. It'll die when it'll die. RIP Wii.. I think.

The Wii needs to die. Even crap movie games would make the Wii seem to be alive. I want more Wii U sales. I don't want the Wii to be like the DS. You've got your 8th gen handheld, end the 7th already!

Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.
