It's definitely going to be Serial Experiments Lain, for me.

It's the style, animation, fitting music, and feeling that makes it just right.

I loveeeee the Fantasy Mythology OP from Mirai Nikki. It does such a good job at tying in the (attempted) symbolism and insane nature the show carries. If the show was on par with that OP.. oh man, it would have been fantastic.

Another opening that belongs in my favorites:

I love the Again OP from FMA:B, but sincerely, it's only because of the scene where Ed/Al unravel apparent and Winry loses her balance immediately afterward. BOOM. The show's characterization in two seconds. Other than that, the song is pretty kickarse.

YOU KNOW GANKUTSUO!? That show was scary because of how perfect it was... (well, up until episode 24)... but really... a surreal experience. Also, oddly enough, one of the closet adaptions I've seen to the literary title, despite it being a rather obscure reiteration.

Here's my choice:



Guns & Roses OP - Baccano!

The show's charm comes from it's characters and this OP shows this really well. It's the show, in a quick minute. It's fun, catchy and everything I love about the show all in one package.

YES! This is one of those OPs that rank up there with the Cowboy Bebop OP.. and yes, if anyone hasn't seen the show, do it. Do it nao.

If you want more just ask me. The first two are my favorites and the others are just Openings I enjoy, no ranking. I love them all for their own reason. I WOULD HAVE ADDED MIRAI NIKKI OP 1 AND DEATH NOTE OP 1 BUT BLAKE AND CRACKKAT ALREADY DID! Enjoy!
