If the game bites the game will still bite regardless of the day it is released. Though in this case they sort of rushed it out CoD for Black Friday I suppose. Considering they had that bundle of CoD & the PS Vita with a marked down price at some stores & online retailers. Which actually some what worked in getting more Vita's purchased. (shrugs)

http://www.ign.com/games/upcoming/vita <--- This is sort of accurate to some degree. However, release dates from just about any where are to be taking lightly, since they could be subject to change.

CoD still absolutely burns me up. I cannot believe that anyone has bought that bundle....just shows how uninformed some people are. I knew that was going to be a disaster when it had been in development for a little over a year, and yet there was no information on the game at all with two months until release.
Currently playing: AC 3, ZombiU, BLOPS 2, Nintendoland, NSMBU, Nano Assault Neo, Halo 4, Darksiders 2, and Far Cry 3

CoD has not been good since the first game really in terms of being worked on. It is still the same old engine just running with the old bubble gum and spite routine to throw in what little extra crap is needed. Same can be said about a lot of games to this day with their engines. Overall meaning to me it isn't such a surprise to see it not so great in quality and not a surprise to see it dubbed down in terms of processing, for the sake of being able to run smoothly on a device intended as "Portable". Truly, having a CoD by all means has increased the Vita's sells by a small margin and the reduced price helped as well. After Black Friday there was more cash thrown into the device like it or not to support Sony in there investment of a device.

As for uninformed people, that is nothing new. Talk to plenty of them every where and even see them on this forum. People will jump to buy crap without even knowing anything about the games or anything else that is needed to know. Give them a brand name and they just follow like sheep to the slaughter. Because its, "Enter Company Name Here" their so trust worthy and not out to get my money.

The Vita is more equivalent to the original Xbox in horsepower rather than the 360 or PS3. I have a Vita since the release of the First Edition and all I can say the graphics are nowhere near as good as the PS3. For a handheld sure they are good but don't hold a candle to the home console counterpart. Of course that is to be expected because it's a handheld and this handheld uses the same architecture as the iPad/iPhone but just more advanced chipsets. Go play Uncharted for example, you'll notice a lot of visual shortcomings to the original game on the PS3 like pixellated fire and lower than the PSVita's native resolution. Of course this game could be poorly optimized so it might not be the best example. What the Vita has over the PS3 is the RAM, giving the Vita an advantage over the PS3 in terms of multitasking and would probably run Skyrim better, if the graphics have to be toned down a significant bit.

imo the vita is the best handheld out full stop i have used a 3ds and was not impressed in the slightest besides making me get a headache i could not get on with the shape of it the same problem i had with the original ds also the only game i would like on it is resident evil.i think its early days for the vita and its being judged very harshly due to the comparison with home consoles which it isnt but it has some great games for it and the new killzone mercenary looks awesome.

wii u premium, new super mario bros u, darksiders 2, call of duty black ops 2, zombiu

blue 3ds xl, resident evil revelations, zelda ocarina of time

Drives me crazy that the games on my vita seem as grainy as games did on PSP. Some mobile games on my galaxy s3 look much cleaner.

Quite the nice little machine. Nowhere near as powerful as sony made many people believe, but, its the most powerful dedicated gaming machine on the market, rather handedly leaving the 3ds in the dust in both gpu and cpu.

Shame about the state its in.

The biggest problem the machine faces are team and budget alottments. No, the system is not as powerful as a ps3, but it does have the power to make gorgeous games, the problem is, to make those games visuals it will COST dang near as much as it would on ps3/360, and nobody is going to take that risk if the system stays where its at now.

Sony needs to release some killer software for this machine. And i mean the good vintage stuff, not over saturated stuff like mini uncharted.

Dark cloud, colony wars, legend of dragoon.

Big LONG in depth strong sce games. Its a handheld in a modern age. Handheld titles no longer need to be mini versions of console outings. Sony should take the lead in redefining portable experiences. That mindshare would be invaluable. Portable games no longer need to be mini anything, or designed to be played in 'portable simpler chunks'. In fact they should be longer and more in depth than the increasingly short games we have on consoles, because portable systems are PORTABLE, its not just that you can take it with you when you leave your gaming area, but its more comfortable for extend periodsnof play, because you can play in any position, without having to face or look in a certain fixed direction.

This kind of unique identity could quickly put the vita on the mindshare map with just a few high quality games with length and depth uncommon of the average games of this stagnating, dying generation.

And if ANYBODY, has the generations of untapped, untouched awesome ip's in its library to bring out games to spearhead this new direction, this kind of unique portable experience, its freaking sony computer entertainment.

But for reasons i cant understand, sony continues to erode and rot their japanese studios and franchises, in favor of reusing over and over again their western ips and themes of these most recent generations until their value is all but diluted.

^You are right. That's what Ninty does. Make handheld dedictated games.

This DOES look good for a handheld game. I can't see the 3DS pulling it off.

Same here. Looks good, but no, not current gen console quality. But close enough for a handheld, right?

This also looks better than the Wii version at least.. Hope the 3DS could pull it off

The ps vita is really powerful I wish sony would get the update out so we can finnaly play ps3 games on the vita as promised. If you google it theres a hack were people are playing battlefeild 3 on the psvita and other ps3 games and it looks amazing.

I heard they are having legal issues, displaying content not on intended product or something silly.
