Just, the gaming and hardware forums seem to be a lot more hostile nowadays. It used to be a great place to discuss things, but it seems anything negative anybody has to say (however small) they get shot down and flamed. I'm actually being put off by this! sad times :(

This place has become more of a Question and Answer Forum instead of a gaming community due to SOME of the new members. but I'm sure things will go back to normal after the Wii U hype is over.

There are a lot of Q&A threads nowadays, but I guess that's what happens when a new console with some issues releases.

I agree. there's too many new members and too many question threads. I also don't find many things I actually want to post.
I think It will be back to normal after this year as most of the question threads will go, and we can talk about the games again.

Give it some time - after the novelty of a new system wears off and the initial launch period is over it will calm down. The problem is - there is little to no new information to talk about to offset the influx of new members posting tons of repeat threads.

The hardware forum especially has always caused arguments and name-calling.

Eh ive seen this all before on the other Nintendo forums. Something you just have to put up with. You will learn who the problem users are and just learn to tune them out.

That's what I'm feeling too. I think members that are just going to come here to ask technical questions ( or trying to fix their consoles) and never actually adding to discussions should use the Nintendo Tech Support Forums. Not all new members are doing this, but a fair few are. . I'm also not a fan of these " Wii U doesn't work in space" or " Wii U is a living machine" joke threads threads by a certain someone....

I blame all the 12 year olds. I no i cut some members down sometimes, but its simply because of stupidity. Do we really need 10 different threads about the wii's CPU, or the console freezing. Or gamepad protectors etc. A single thread is enough. Honestly at one point there was 3 threads all next to each other about "A developer from " Insert company" say this about the wii u"

Is it really that hard to just post another article in the same thread.
