I am unable to load updates on our Wii U. Pretty sure I am missing something obvious. Have checked support and error messages, reset wireless connections and every other suggestions that has been suggested. Can anyone suggest anything else?

It is doing the same thing on my Wii U. I think the server is still overloaded from Christmas Morning.

your guys routers may not even be compatible or just to damn old I remeber I used to have a belkin router and it would not work at all wit hthe xbox so I switched to linksys with actually said on the box it was compatable with xbox and video games in general so I hook it up and sure enough it worked great this was many years ago keep in mind and the linksy still works great with all my systems and no lag and its not even a wirless g model its an older 1. I will prob upgrade once the old 1 dies.

It was up last night. I guess when all the twerps went to bed. Wouldn't surprise me if it's overloaded again though,

Mine has been working fine
But it might have just been an overload

Thanks for the ideas. We got the updates to work by moving the console closer to the router.
