1) You can't possibly suggest the success or failure of a console can be decided well before it gets released, heck even before the rumours are dispelled and the specs/games are announced. That's just silly. Heck, you can't even tell the success of a console while it's kicking at it's hardest. You can only sit back, watch magic happen or backfire, and count the results at the end of the selling period. Essentially anything before that it is one human being trying to put all their selling points in such a way that it seems like what makes and doesn't make the product work in the market. I could b*tch talk all I want what I want out of the consoles and why such things will help it sell, but that's nothing more than an extension of what I want and so even the stupid things feel justified when they aren't.
Take a look at the 3DS. Man, that was sinking like a rock in the ocean in its first year. The only games I liked when I had it were Samurai Warriors Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. Nothing else that came out that first year dished out the same calibre of fun. The Vita, has had a great startup library, but it's received too much downtime. But watch, it'll turn into a library eater soon enough. The Wii U, same story.
That was a little on the ranting end, but point is, this is no time to estimate the success of the next Microsoft or Sony consoles. They aren't here, they aren't visual, they aren't even on paper. Stop it. Just stop it please.
2) I love you 3Dude so much. Not only did you stop yourself from repeating the same 3 page extravaganza, but you posted an image that made me laugh because it's true.
3) troj, CUD has a point. At least the rumours have the capacity to turn into actual information. The lack of pre-owned games doesn't really faze me, as I'm pretty sure that Sony will have a truly strong network, strong enough that all their titles will have digital downloads. I'm seeing as such on the Vita.
Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

There are numerous posts on this forum dissing Nintendo who are from obvious Microsoft fanboys that probably don't even own a Wii U so I posted this realistic analysis on what I know so far.
I thought I'd make my honest opinion of 720 failing which it will, mark my words.
In it's home country it will succeed as usual, in Japan the Wii U, PS3 and PS4 will outsell the 720 at an embarrassing rate as usual. Europe will go for the much more powerful PS4 over 720. That leaves Microsoft last place once again, they will make each console a profit but worwide sales will be laughable.
Do you really think they will have free online? They have released 2 consoles with that very same money grabbing philosophy so history repeating itself here.
May I also add the RROD issues that plagued the 360 costing the company millions, denting their reputation rightfully so as having the worst build quality in a console. Now all of a sudden a ''slow'' 1.62ghz CPU in the 720 is accepted by the very same fools that talked smack about Wii U. All next gen consoles like Wii U will be GPU centric to avoid overheating but the hypocrisy is ignorance at it's finest.
The 720 will be the demise of Microsoft in the console market. Microsoft fanboys really are the most deluded and butthurt out there so heres hoping!

Lol. I don't mean it literally. I'm saying if it's less powerful than the PS4 that doesn't mean it will be less successful in sales. Look at the Wii sales.Power means a lot, a lack of power limits the kind of games that can be made etc. If power truly meant nothing new console generations would not exist.

Why I think it won't fail: I'll most likely buy it. That is, if they don't have crappy errors like RRODs, scratching disc-readers, carp like that you know. Then I might consider buying a PS4 instead. But in general, I'm a huge fan of Xbox controllers so that's a plus for me. Overall I just enjoy the Xbox 360, so I think the 720 should be fine if they learn from some mistakes.
Its all up in the air for me this time. Normally id just get all three, but after this last gen, where 99% of the releases on the hdtwins were identical, thats never happening again. Its down to the games now, and although ms has been winning SOME points with me recently, all Sony has to do is whisper the words team ico and the decisions done.

What's with all these idiot 12 year olds posting pointless threads about their opinions. Seriously not that anyone gives a crap what you think but at least post it in an already existent thread so the forum isn't cluttered with sh1t.
I can post what the hell I like, and I am probably older than you. You obviously do give a crap what I think which is why you replied with a dumb, "pointless" comment.
