Funny, I don't remember Forza Motorsport, Project Gotham Racing or Fable being FPS or shooters.
What is the difference between a FPS and a shooter anyway? Do you mean a third person shooter (eg Crackdown)?

Classing all shooters as the same thing is pretty dumb, its like classing all sports games as the same, or all racing games. There is a HUGE variety in shooting games, Crackdown is nothing like Gears of War which is nothing like Unreal Tournament, etc.

There is plenty of variety in Xbox and PS3 exclusives, although personally I have enjoyed Xbox exclusives much more than PS3.

Also, my Xbox only broke once and Microsoft repaired it for free. If my PS3 were to break, even the YLOD which is reasonably common, Sony would charge me. So while I agree that Microsoft are annoying in their limiting functionality to Xbox Live Gold, when those things are free on PS3, they also have a console which has given much a much superior experience to my PS3.

I lost track of how often I have accepted a cross-gaming voice chat request, or replied to a message, while in the middle of a game, without leaving that game. The former of which isn't even supported on PS3 at all, sucks how they implemented it on PS Vita and at least some of the thing I had to quit games on PS3 just to reply to a message. On Xbox 360, even the game continued to load in the background if on a loading screen and then pauses automatically once its ready to play again. The experience as a whole is just so much better.

Then there is how easy it is to browse and buy stuff from Xbox Live Marketplace. Its so much more streamlined than Playstation Store. If you want to delete something I already downloaded its also MUCH faster on Xbox than PS3. Oh and I don't have to wait to bloody install things, once its downloaded its installed already. There are just so many ways Xbox is superior to PS3.

In fact the only thing I agree with is that iOS/Android cannot be considered proper gaming systems without REAL controls. However if they ever get that technology in phones where real buttons can emerge from the screen when required, especially if it can work for a comfortable d-pad, then at least some games will be more practical. Although I do not think we will ever have the same experience on our phones as dedicated consoles, as they have to worry about draining the battery too much so you can still use it as a phone.

So you named THREE non "FPS or SHOOTER" games... like i said... needs more variety. FPS are shooters, I wasn't necessarily classifying all shooters as the same thing but im talking about in general. They all involve shooting something right? Just like most sports involve physical activity... right?

As far as I know, I never had to quit a game just to read or respond to a messege on PS3. Cross-chat? I could live without it... why would I want to quit what i'm doing just to chat with someone about something irrelevent? IMO it's annoying playing games while somebody else is rambling about something else & I can't concentrate.

Also, I think PSN is more straight foward compared to XBL. XBL has too much crap going on with all the advertisements and different menus. I actually found it pretty hard to navigate, but thats just me.

At the end of the day, its all just a matter of opinion. I don't mind XBOX 360 at all & im pretty sure it has some good things to offer, but I definitely wouldn't replace my PS3 or even my WII U for one...

No need to turn this into a console war...

*Facepalm* Clearly your not able to understand what I'm saying. American games like Halo and GoW to me have no interesting characters and a horrible story. The same with Prototype.. I never said constant action is boring. Try to actually read if before putting words in my mouth. Ok thanks :D

Halo 4 had a very well done story and up to that point the series was well written (although the story of the original trilogy was always one of my complaints, especially after the first game [note well written does not mean you will have a good story and vice versa]).

I actually would say constant action is boring, pacing is extremely important. A masterfully paced fps would have to be Crysis 2 (not sure how well it plays on 360 and ps3 though).

Constant action is boring.

Yet you like Japanese imported games.

Which have nothing but action and colors and explosions.

The exact opposite.

Yes just because I don't like X box games make my post invalid. Your an idiot you just can't handle someone disliking the games you like. I don't care if you like Xbox what I don't like is you calling out my opinion when I'm being nice and disliking most games made in the USA

No the fact that you are making huge sweeping generalizations is though. You stated there is essentially no creativity or fun to be had in American games, NanamiGamerGrl17 gave a great example of a game with more imagination and creativity the dozens of other games combined, and guess what.... it is an American game. There are plenty of such games as well.

Lets see, I built my first rig over the holidays, for 1300 (all the money from my summer job) it replaces my dads gaming rig from 12 years ago that still works, and he has updated the GPU twice and the CPU once, plus multiple upgrades in RAM. And I have 16 mainstream games on my computer, that through steam sales, have cost me 210 dollars, which for my Xbox would have cost around 900 dollars. Those who say PC's are way more expensive and hard to upgrade have clearly had no experience in it ever. Yeah its expensive in the beginning, but in the long run it will turn out to be cheaper when you account for steam sales and only having to do it every 10 years, rather than having to buy a console every 5 years. I have the wii u because of exclusive games, which there are appearing to be a abundance of, so I am happy. Although your comments about sony and Microsoft and iOS are completely accurate.

I was once known here as KillerMario, but since I really like Banjo-Kazooie, I changed my display name to show them my respect :)

I am also from Australia, nearly all new release games on pc can easily be had for under $40 on release as opposed to console release which are usually twice that. As for not having a good enough pc and thus not gaming on your pc, that does make sense but is a separate point to the cost of the games. In any case you are happy to upgrade you console but not your pc (which can be done in the exact some manner) so whilst I respect your right to game on what you so wish your argument is rather flawed and circular in nature (I don't game on pc's as IO don't game on pc's is essentially what you have said).

BTW if it doesn't apply to anyone, common sense says it can't apply to you. :P

You know what, you're probably right. PC gaming has just annoyed the crap out of me in the past. The problem is I don't know any ways to tell if the PC game will work on my computer until I buy it, which in the past it hasn't. More recently, my cousin bought a Doom collection, but when he got home he learnt he was going to have to buy a new PC -_-
So I just steer clear from it for now on to be on the safe side. I was wrong, it's not really overpriced. I just get worried with that any new PC game I buy will not work. :/

If you think Smogon ban stuff

"Just because they can't beat it"

You clearly don't play OU

You clearly have no knowledge of the metagame

And you clearly don't deserve to have an opinion.

But that wouldn't be controversial nor have any funny comeback posts.
