1. It helps stop spam posters

2. Some people might just find your title offensive!

I've seen some pathetic users posting countless amounts of threads for a game they want to see on the Wii U. At one time I saw someone post "Mother" over 20 or so times straight on the Nintendo Land community, and below that was even more but blocked by a moderator.

I'm personally all for this, so long as it doesn't affect thread replies; which I believe Nollog pointed out.

I guess the reply count is unlimited so not all is bad.

Whatever, its not like i use Miiverse all the time anyways so its not a big deal for me as it is for people who are on Miiverse the whole time they're on their Wii U. Anyways this looks good for stopping spam.

I actually applaud this. It will stop idiots from spamming up a community and let people actually see what I write.

Yeah looking back it was more of an overreaction from me if anything. Derp.

If they would have made a reply limit that really would have been bad though.

Now, THAT would suck.

Presumably this means posting *NEW* "threads" and not commenting on other peoples posts?

If you need to make more than one new "thread" every 5 minutes, then you probably are spamming. If this extends to commenting on other peoples posts, then yes, it is stupid.

This might be a good thing. I have lost count how many times my drawings have went unnoticed in busy communities simply because everyone is posting something every few seconds.

All it means is your comments/drawings will be viewed more easily.

Nintendo's admin staff must be overwhelmed moderating all the comments or something, I don't know.

Why is this an issue?

It states "the structure of the comments won't change" so I guess replying to a topic isn't limited to once every 5 minutes?

I don't think I've ever made two posts within 30 minutes of eachother, let alone 5.

I'm liking that all the posts asking for Yeah!s will be gone or greatly reduced.

I'm glad. Less spam on Miiverse. I think 5 minutes is a little much though. Maybe 2-3 minutes.

Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

Everyone said why this is an idea that is welcomed, so no point in repeated (I agree with those who stated why). Why is spam reduction an issue to some though? They want to keep topics... on topic... Really, it's great.

One question though, they stated open friend requests will no longer be a thing.. does this mean you can't click on someone's name and request them through Miiverse?

5 minutes is not long at all. I'm glad it's there to block the spammers, I see them frequently and it gets bothersome.

Ever since my 2 week ban, Miiverse just doesn't have that same appeal to me as it once use to. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

I agree, I always hated the spam that constantly cluttered Miiverse anyway
