my buddy just found this out the hard way.
he purchased nintendoland,mario u,zombi u,and warriors orochi 3.
his system had a boot error and wouldn't load the games.. so he took it back and was lucky enough to get another console.
well here is the kicker upon getting home and trying to download his games on his new system he couldn't even use the same nintendo network id.
seems that everything you buy is tied to your account ,which in turn is tiede to your console.. makes sense right ?, but here is the kicker.. its that console only.. you cant transfer you cant get a new or used system at a later date and retain your purchases.
you have to start all over and loose all the money you just spent.
he has been on the phone and in e-mail contact with over 5 different divisions of nintendo  every since and every time he is told sorry that is the way it is.. re-purchase the games again with a new account for the new system and try again... sorry for any inconvenience...!!!
to me this is totally unacceptable.
so stay away from digital right now until nintendo gets this straightened out or else it seems like you are just wasting money if something happens to your system.

If a game supports it sure.
unfortunately if there is no pro pad logo on the back of the box its a no go.
im in the same boat as you though an i am looking at having to buy at least 2 wii motes and 2 nunchuck things just so my kids can play games.. i get it though allot of games use motion and the pro cant do that.. just sucks i am going to have to have so many different controllers just to play the very first launch games.

This game looks epic, I can't wait to play it when I hopefully get it for christmas I have to many other games to get on launch day

Before seeing NSMBU on this Nintendo Direct, I didn't really take much notice of it. Now it seems like a must buy.

we have a wii u and pro controller unboxing.
There will be a press event by nintendo discussing mii-verse.

My booze cabinet  is all stocked up.

yeah its kind of making me nervous . like.. are they waiting till the last minute because they have to delay something or did something go wrong... god, i hope not.
i hope we don't get.. despite our best efforts to have it available at launch we still have a few hiccups to work out with the mii verse but it will be available to download shortly after launch.
or it will be available but none of the features will be active yet.. there is just NO info on this.. in like.. forever.

Hi welcome to the forums, I'm in the same boat as you I never touched th Wii at all, but I feel the Wii U is a breath of fresh air, I've got mine Pre Ordered for day 1, I even sold my Xbox 360 to get it, that's how much faith I've put in Nintendo, and you know what? I'm really glad I did it, I really think Nintendo have done it this time

yeah i actually said goodbye to all my xbox friends this weekend i told them they probably won't see me unless there is some amazing 360 exclusive that comes out untill next generation.

i have boycotted the wii completely but am very happy to announce my family will be getting a wii u on launch day.
i can't wait to introduce my kids to mario and link and the rest of the gang.
Nintendo really did a good job on this system i believe and i can't wait to see how it evolves from here.
i'm only sad that its life may be relatively short.. 3 years tops.. but who knows maybe nintendo will come up with a video card plug in or something and we can keep up with the big boys in a couple of years.
