Yeah, it was rough for everyone at the beginning.

Gotta buy them morphs and blocks, and unlock them skills. (use the mixer to make credit cards!!!)

But soon, you will bloom, like a beatiful flower of whoop a$$.

#245266 Ubisoft shuns Wii U time for a Proactive Nintendo...3rd parties don't care

I don't believe so. There are core Nintendo fans that will but "ANYTHING" with Nintendo's name on it. They have to gamble and invest in future IP's. Sony's Killzone wasn't successful on PS2... But they stuck with it and grew the IP and now its a staple in their console lineup. They didn't just try and give up after it didn't sale well on ps2. Nintendo needs to take more chances... Smart chances.

You just proved my point.

Sony is also billions of dollars in the red for their games divisions because of money pits like killzone.

But that debt is paid for by sonys tv division, laptop divion, audio division.... Nintendo doesnt HAVE other divisions to pay for the cost of playing that kind of game.

And lets take a look at killzone sales.

Killzone ps2: .94 million
Killzone2 ps3: 2.91 million
Killzone 3 2.50 million.

Yeah. Thats really growing the franchise. All that money was SOOOO well spent.

Lets take a look at some new nintendo ip's nintendo started.

Wii sports resort 31.87 million

Man, I bet Nintendo really wishes they threw away billions of dollars to grow an ip that sells 2 million units.

wii fit: 22.6 million

Nintendo sure is jealous of that manchild market.

wii fit + 21.26 million

WHY OH WHY DIDNT NINTENDO THROW MONEY AWAY AT AN INCREDIBLY TINY MINORITY!!!!!

'You', 'me', 'we', we are bad customers.

We demand games that appeal only to our tiny niche, and we complain endlessly about it without playing it, dont buy it, or say well buy it used. Then, when the game can no longer be found, and is selling for hundreds of dollars on ebay, we complain about nintendo not printing enough copies.

'We' are horrible, horrible customers, we are stupid, arrogant, short sighted, complacent, ignorant, and self entitled.

Even if we werent, We dont have anywhere NEAR enough money to put it where our screaming mouths are. We cant outbuy 30-million sales because we are entirely too divided in our specific gaming tastes. I dont want ANY of the things you demanded nintendo clones of. And even if we DID pool together, we cant match wii sports resort, and no way in hell can we touch mario kart.

At best, and thats if EVERY 'hardcore' gamer bought a nintendo system, we can only get half of that, thats call of duty sales across all platforms combined.

Its suicide. Im amazed Nintendo throws money away at us at all. And make no mistake, Nintendo KNOWS they are throwing money away just to appeal to a microcosm.

tw101, bayonetta 2, xenoblade, X, Pandoras tower, buying fatal frame, disaster...

I dont know why they throw money away on us. The only thing i can think of is they just like great games, over just making money, which is why we get what we do.

Nintendo ditching 40-30 million unit sales by doing their own thing and pissing off the 'hardlycore' as collateral damage, to chase growing a money pit like killzone to a whopping 2.5 million sales is suicide.

#245219 Ubisoft shuns Wii U time for a Proactive Nintendo...3rd parties don't care

Posted by 3Dude on 10 September 2013 - 04:11 AM

Nintendo's problem is they rely so heavily on Mario and Zelda it's unreal. They haven't evolved as a sofware company since they began, hardware wise they keep evolving but it's like they just run out of ideas for games, that or they are extremely arrogant to think that consoles can live on such a small amount of I.P.

Nintendo had several brand new ip's last gen that made more profit, and sold more units than any game on ps360, and thats combining sales of multiplat releases.

Your statement is disingenious to the point of being completely ignorant,or a blatant lie depending on context.

Lol at the fact I made this thread and where I stand today with W101... Just shows how I jumped the gun.

It certainly shows a lot about you, but not in the way you think/implied about yourself.

Anyways, Eurogaf is unanimously crapping themselves over this game. They are going completely nuts over it.

#243821 Rayman Legends is missing 28 Levels on the Playstation Vita.

Posted by TheUltimateWaddleDee on 03 September 2013 - 06:24 AM

Kind of late but yes, 85 Teensies are missing.

So i'm guessing so far,Wii U> PS360/PC > PSVita

Fixed. The Wii U has 5 player co-op, Murphy makes multilayer even better, and waiting for Murphy to br able to interact with something slows the Murphy stages even more than having an AI go through the levels.

#242869 Swaggle me eyes! possible good news (AKA Platinum 2nd party and W101 sequel)

Posted by 3Dude on 29 August 2013 - 08:55 PM

But the post I made in this thread's kind of about Japan. And since Platinum is Japanese, that's the region that matters most.
Since it's the only country we have numbers of since it's the only one it's released in (it didn't make top 20 in the uk, but no numbers yet).
Historically, NoE haven't been very good at giving the internet sales numbers.
It's not out in America yet, or maybe it is I haven't been paying attention to their release dates.

I know Japanese love their eShop, but 5,000 is terribly low even understanding that.
I for one expected a lot more than 5,000 disc sales of the game, so it's obviously been more of a miss than I expected myself there.
I haven't seen many Nintendo adverts here at all, can't talk about w101 getting less of something I've not seen much of then.

That's what most Japanese game commercials are like.
Also due to cultural differences, what might not look appealing to you might look very appealing to them.

Apparantly not the case here.

But its not just the japanese trailers either, the euro ones i saw were just as bad. They are just bad commercials that dont convey the game at all.

#242739 Swaggle me eyes! possible good news (AKA Platinum 2nd party and W101 sequel)

Posted by 3Dude on 29 August 2013 - 03:01 PM

Is there already a topic about this? I feel like there was, might have to merge.

Kamiya's known to troll though, so he might not actually mean he wants Platinum to be a second party dev for Nintendo and just wants to make a little noise in the gaming community.

He is known to troll, but this really doesnt seem like his trolling style. However, he is very specifically only speaking for himself personally, and not on behalf of all of platinum.

But ive been thinking about it in my head and ive come to some solutions...

Becoming second party is an absolute best case scenario for p*, who makes wonderfully unique games that just dont sell.... Typically because they are wonderfully unique.

Nintendo would by and far be the best company for them, because nintendo, for some reason, will go far out of their way to service a niche crowd with unique tastes with high quality fun products, even though they are far too small an audience to really make it fiscally worthwhile. This is probably the reason I am left most often relying on Nintendo these days.

If nintendo's involvement can get silicon knights to output eternal darkness calibur games... And an already great house like monolith soft makes something like xenoblade when taken under nintendos wing, my mind boggles at the very notion at what they can do working so closely with p* games.

#242623 Swaggle me eyes! possible good news (AKA Platinum 2nd party and W101 sequel)

Posted by 3Dude on 29 August 2013 - 09:58 AM

Bad idea. Platinum are terrible. Couldn't even sell over 5k w101 in Japan.

They also failed so hard to sell any games as clover that capcom terminated them after only three new ip's.... all of which were commercial failures....
...
....

And all three of which are regulars on every top 100 all timer list.

Unfortunately for the Creativity LOVERs, most gamers only say they want fresh engaging new experiences because it makes them feel good about their mental image of themselves.

In reality, they are far to lazy to step outside their comfort zone and actually really try anything creative or new. And sure as hell wont take the time to develop new skills.
