About Me
I'm just a regular guy who grew up playing (and still play) Nintendo consoles. I am interested in discussing all things Nintendo and hopefully making a few gaming friends along the way. Looking foward to gaming on the Wii U!

The level creator is great. Only problem: if you're level doesn't become popular in the first day it's lost forever. And the popular section is littered with Free Stars crap.
This is a thread to build your friends/followers who play this game. Maybe you won't feel like your efforts are wasted bc one or two people play your level.
Anyways, my NNID is Jumpman86, feel free to add me. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with!

#309399 Wii U top 3 games (for new owners)
Posted by Fig on 21 February 2015 - 02:52 PM
The first three games I would recommend are;
1. Mario Kart 8 - excellent entry in the MK series. Great multi and single player experience. Online races and DLC add tons of replay value.
2. Rayman Legends - might be the best platformer on Wii U. Great multi and single player experience. Superb use of the GamePad.
3. Super Mario 3D World - IMO, perfectly takes 2D Mario and puts it in a 3D space. Wii U's flagship Mario title is tons of fun, again, alone or with friends.

My young son has got into the Hobbit book and I was thinking of getting this game for him. Does anyone know whether this game supports off tv play? Also any thoughts on this game, as we've not played any Lego games. Thanks

#279037 What on earth could Nintendo should do at E3 to win back developers?
Posted by Fig on 30 March 2014 - 03:45 AM
Nintendo does not need to cater to Dude Brosā¢ nor do I want them to. They've sold 6 million consoles and can sell more by making their own great games. There are other consoles for the Dude Brosā¢ and there's no point in having 3 more or less identical options.
The question was how Nintendo can gain more support. I suggested that part of the solution is increasing the install base. A large part of the gaming market is dude bros. Making a system that is capable of appealing to dude bros doesn't mean they have to abandon their current fans. They don't have to make dude bro games. They just have to make a system with competitive graphics and online capabilities. It's the only way to truly gain more third party support with the market's current demands.

#262272 Gamespot DKTF Preview.... Nintendo take notice!
Posted by Fig on 19 December 2013 - 04:10 AM
This game series has fans that have high expectations. I, for one, am glad that Nintendo is taking DKC:TF seriously. People saying Retro was wasted on this game is blatantly disrespectful to the DK series and it's fans. It is also a blatantly selfish statement.
Does Nintendo need more modern gaming franchises? Perhaps, but not at the expense of their most successful and cherished franchises.

#223119 Is there any truth to this?
Posted by Fig on 17 June 2013 - 04:20 PM
To answer your question in a word, yes.
- A lot of Nintendo fans tend to buy Nintendo games over 3rd party games. That's tough to compete with. (I think N has the best devs in the world, nothing for N fans to be ashamed of)
- Wii U has a low install base (a fact that I think honestly affects some devs, for others it's a convenient excuse, look @XB1 and PS4's install base)
- Some devs are graphics whores/spec snobs
- Some devs have better business relationships with Microsoft and/or Sony than Nintendo (a nice way of saying paying for exclusives).
- Some devs look at all of the above.

can someone post a link to a place where I can watch the Nintendo direct? Thanks
I read an article last night about a prediction for Retros new game, it said it was a reboot of startropics. I read up on the game, and it looks pretty smashing!!

#212456 Sonic Lost Worlds Trailer released!

Day one purchase for me, they'll have to really screw something up to change that. And I'm not a major Sonic fan.
