Nintendo should not rival but friend Apple. That would be super kick ass!
A partnership would mean Apple can help on the WiiU app store, etc. And Nintendo can make games in their app store.
Maybe they are secretly partners.
Never going to happen. Both of them have built a powerful and world known name for themselves.
Besides, Iwata himself has stated that Nintendo's key franchises will NEVER appear on anything other than a Nintendo owned and licensed product.

Hey, if Nintendo wants to have a focus of integrating Video Game Entertainment and Social Networking together...
Then you simply have to have launch games that show that, and I don't think they should rely on other companies to do that for them.
^ This. For Nintendo to push the idea of a constant social world happening at the same time as one is gaming, they need to have online multiplayer available for their games.
I don't understand why they wouldn't add online for Pikmin 3. Seems like the kind of game that would benefit well from it.

Definitely NOT the worse. 2008 was much more shocking, so shocking in fact that I felt embarrassed to be a Nintendo fan for a couple of days, and I've never had that feeling.

Wouldn't it be awesome if the first time you booted up the system you were greeted by this demo?
That would be pretty awesome actually. Then the video ends transitioning to the Wii U logo then dissolves into the main menu.

The Wii U will sell fine. I believe Nintendos main goal with Wii U is to retain all the billions of Casuals they got with Wii. But this time flip the coin and replicate the effect of the Wii but with the "Hardcores". In the end Nintendo wants everyone lol.
I'm sure that's the main goal of all the big three.
And so far, I believe Microsoft is doing quite a good job at accomplishing that.

I honestly wouldn't put colour as a determining factor on my purchase. If the black Wii U isn't available at launch then I'll just get myself the white. At least I can play the Wii U.

I don't think Nintendo is the kind who would release multiple versions of their home systems when put in terms of storage space and/or performance and size.
Want to give us a source for the confirmation of 8GB internal memory? As far as I know it doesn't have any sort of in-built memory.

What if it has (i)nterlaced pixels?
From what I hear, it would be slightly worse, but ehh what do I know?

What i'm concerned about is battery life not price
I'm assuming that the WIi U's battery will be rechargeable so it wouldn't be much of a hassle.
If your planning to use it for an extensive amount of time the charger should be a tethered cord.

PS Vita is 544p maybe it can be 550-600p
That range is what I'm expecting, or a bit higher. 600i/p-700i/p perhaps?

Somehow I doubt for a 720p screen. To achieve a crisp quality screen you don't necessarily need it at HD
