#144072 Mass Effect 3

Posted by Preacher Ken on 05 December 2012 - 11:07 AM in Wii U Games and Software

How do you get mass effect 3 to play solely on the gamepad. I found videos showing a guy pressing the home button but that doesn't work for me. I just get the home menu. Thanks

A lot of people have asked this question on
miiverse. You need two hold down the select button for a couple of seconds.

#142979 The official "What games should I get?" Thread

Posted by Preacher Ken on 03 December 2012 - 08:47 PM in Wii U Games and Software

So I just got a call from GameStop saying they had my deluxe bundle!!! I already know I want Mario but what other game would be worth picking up?

your best bet would be to download Uplay from the Wii U shop don't worry its free. then look at the games that Suport Uplay and that can be your shoping list.

I am looking at getting 4 games for my nephews. The all need to be local multiplayer, They do not like Mario games, or usually games with Mario in them, and no sports games. Are there 4 games available that meet this requirement?

Let me know if this should be a new topic, and I can create it.

Thanks for the help.

your boys are into 3rd party games like mass effect 3 or accessins creed 3 or Batman. look go down to either EBgames or Gamestop and look around, the 3rd party games are sold on playstion 3 xbox 360 and PC if the game is on all 4 you can't go wrong or just ask the staff at the shop.

I was under the impression the new Pro Controller was 80 Hours on a single charge.
The Pro Controller atm is very limited with the game support, only select titles use it atm.

Link to where i saw the article.

Posted by Preacher Ken on 02 December 2012 - 09:26 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Yes but as far as i know the newest one "Omega" which is the longest from what i heard is not coming to the wii u i dont know why, was released on Nov 27 for all the other platforms.

yes it is true on the Bioware website there are other dlcs.
To me Boiware giving away 7 free dlcs,
is plenty of free giveaways, probably too much.

If you didn't want to hear the opinions of others, you shouldn't have asked. You've clearly made up your mind about the purchase before you had even posted, so you didn't really need us, unless you were trying to drive traffic to your Youtube channels. Nobody here is saying Wii U sucks, most of us own one and think it's great. All we said was that for 60 bucks it's a questionable purchase if you have other options, and if you don't, it's not bad for what it is. Don't try to make this into something it's not.

l been chatting a lot on miiverse to people playing Mass Effect 3 you want the truth, get into miiverse. cya

#141024 Wii U Internet Browser

Posted by Preacher Ken on 30 November 2012 - 01:03 PM in Wii U Hardware

l have used Playstation browser and l used Xbox Internet Explorer and I have used Wii U browser. Playstation browser to me has got to be the wost browser of the lot. Xbox 360 browser l found very confusing to navergate. Internet Explorer on the Latop these days has changed so much that l personaly think they removed too many options. Now the Wii U browser l have fallen in love with it's draging the webpage around when you zoom in is fantistick. The favourites is a real book with real pages and the bookmark fonts are a very good size too. when you play youtubes the Wii U browser plays movies fullscreen automaticy. There is nothing about this Wii U broswer that l don't like. Wii U browser has me using it more and more because it works differenty then the other browsers and most of the time it's a nice serprise too. Every console browser l know has missing the ability to update flashplayer type plugins so you can't hold that against it because that's normal for every console. l love Wii U Browser! very good job Nintendo.

#140467 Mass Effect 3

Posted by Preacher Ken on 29 November 2012 - 12:21 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Honest answer: If all you have is a Wii U, and you really like the ME franchise and haven't played ME3 yet, it's your best choice because it's your only option. The game is certainly playable, even with the port issues. However, compared to every other version of the game, it is noticeably inferior in both playability and value for the money. The Trilogy (ME1, 2, and 3) was recently released for PC, PS3, and 360, look, sound, and play much better, and contain almost all of the DLC for a cheaper price.

I say this with all my love for Nintendo, and I don't want to push players away from the company, but EA hasn't taken a Nintendo platform seriously since the SNES days and as a result the vast majority of titles it releases for Nintendo systems tend to be the worst versions, watered down and shuffled off to some underfunded overworked b-team studio just so the publisher can milk more money out of consumers.

And I haven't even mentioned Origin yet.

Confession time, I played Mass Effect 1 on xbox and loved it, I played Mass Effect 2 on xbox and Hated it, Played Mass effect 3 on xbox and the downloads stoped me joining peoples games, I have not played the Triligy game pack and probably never will. I for one love to try out new versions of games. The Wii U version on my youtube has a video of gameplay for over two hours of Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U that a friend of mine made so I know that the fame rate is very good, graphics are great, gameplay is great, the sound is the same as it all ways was, None of you guys have played the Wii U version of the game your only been playing the Trilligy version of the game on other consoles.
True the load times are a little slower but that's nothin  to realy compain about. I'm buying Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U all you other fans can go back to xbox as far as I'm concerned I'm staying loyal to Wii U. before you post here goto youtube and search for australiankennypants and watch the Wii U version before you post because this video makes all you guys out to be liers. Nintendo Wii U is a great product.

#140444 Hi Everyone, a father of 3 boys and looking to get some answers to the Wii U

Posted by Preacher Ken on 29 November 2012 - 11:49 AM in Introduction Central

Hey, I don't do much gaming but this system looks great. I have 3 sons, all gamers and one wants the Wii U this Christmas.

Got to say, I'm a little confused about the different purchase options. We already have a Wii and thought the basic console would be enough but the sales people are saying that it is a waste of time due to the Hard drive capacity (8gb).

Can anyone shed any light on this.

Wilson

I'm a old dude on a low imcome so I bought the basic Wii U console and I can get every thing else when I get more money. Your in good luck if your short on cash because all your Wii games you can play on the new Wii U. So for you the change over shouldn't be such a rip in the pocket.

#140033 Greeting from Brazil...

Posted by Preacher Ken on 28 November 2012 - 08:02 PM in Introduction Central

Hello y'all, my name is Plínio and I am a die hard Nintendo fan since when I first played the super Nes at the age of 5. I've been living in NY for almost 2 years as part of my student exchange. Two weeks ago I was one of those crazy dudes waiting for midnight at the Nintendo Store to buy the Wii U. So far I have nothing to complain about the console, it is exactly what I expected. I'm a game freak in general; I have the console trinity at my shelf but honestly Zelda and Pokemon are my lifetime obsession... =]

Hi, When you play console games or you spend all day studying, get propper sleep or you will not beat the game and your reading will slow down quite a bit. lessons you learn from playing games can be applied to study and vice verser. cya
